The Ultimate Stunt Ready RC Monster Truck

Are you ready for action-packed stunts and extreme monster truck action? Look no further than the Losi LMT 2.0 Solid Axle 4x4 RTR Brushless Monster Truck. With Spektrum Drive Technology, this truck can wheelie, do stoppies, and bicycle on two wheels just like the full-size trucks. Just add your choice of LiPo battery and charger, and get ready for earth-shaking fun!

About the LMT 2.0

Body

The officially licensed body is securely mounted to the chassis with an easy "twist-lock" and flips forward for easy access to the battery tray. Each body style features a molded internal roll cage and comes equipped with a driver figure.

Chassis & Suspension

The machined twin plate chassis comes powder-coated - blue on Sun-uva Digger and green on Grave Digger. The updated two piece axle housing, 4-link mounts, and larger 6x15x5mm pinion bearings increase strength and durability. The LMT 2.0 has eight shocks, just like full-size monster trucks, and features internal springs to mimic the full-sized trucks. With wider offset 2.6” wheels and slightly taller tires, the Losi LMT 2.0 appears much more dominating and scaled than its predecessor. The faux beadlocks can be removed or painted to give your monster truck a custom look.

Electronics

The most exciting addition to the LMT 2.0 is one you’ll have to DRIVE to believe. DRIVE (Dynamic Response Intelligent Vehicle Envelope) is an innovative Spektrum receiver technology that, in Freestyle Mode, enables the LMT 2.0 to hold wheelies, do stoppies, and even “Bicycle” on two wheels just like your Monster Jam™ favorites! Brought to you by Spektrum DRIVE Technology, Freestyle Mode lets you experience firsthand what it’s like to be a monster truck driver.

Trick Mode 1 - "Bicycle"

The Surface you drive on is very important to successfully performing stunts. Rough or Smooth Concrete (not polished) is the ideal surface for learning on as they both provide higher grip. When learning to "Bicycle", the tires must first be broken-in. To break-in the tires, turn the target angle knob all the way counter-clockwise and drive the truck in circles slowly increasing the speed. This will start to wear the tires on the top chevron closest to the sidewall, this may take a battery pack or two to fully break-in. Now that your tires are broke-in, increase the target angle knob to about 10 o'clock. Turn the wheels completely in one direction and slowly increase the throttle until the inside tires start to lift off the ground. For best results, try to maintain steady throttle and steering inputs as the truck rocks up into a "Bicycle".

Trick Mode 2 - Wheelie Mode

Just like Mode 1, the surface is key to learning Mode 2. Rough or Smooth Concrete is also ideal. To do a "Stoppie", you want to get the weight to transfer to the front of the truck. You do not need to be going super fast, just enough for the back tires to start coming off the ground. From 1/4 to 1/2 throttle, apply full brakes. This is where the electronics will begin to work, and the truck will try to balance on the nose. Be sure to have a large area while practicing so you do not run into anything. When practicing nose tricks, one key is to hold the brakes as long as possible until the system is not applying much input. You can then modulate the brake input between neutral and full brakes to help balance the truck.

With both Trick Modes, patience and perseverance are key. The tricks are not automatic and do require trial and error to master. Think about it this way: Dennis and Ryan Anderson didn't learn this overnight.

Just like a losi. Broke steering knuckles straight out of the box. No jumps just a roll over.

Picked this up as my first ever hobby grade RC truck, I was looking for a solid basher that is a big scale and had fun features, came across the LMT 2.0 and I have to say it is by far a blast to bash around and take off jumps, it controls quite nice at normal speeds, the stunt mode is a head tuner with groups and the large size lets it go over just about any terrain. The truck comes with the Spektrum SR6400A 6channel receiver so there is also expansion room for more lights so you can add some rock lights or a led whip bar for some night time bashing, pair that with a DX5+ or any other Spektrum flagship transmitter and you can control the lights from it, otherwise they will stay on all the time. IT does need some upgrades unfortunately, mainly stronger steering knuckles and lower traction bars... also the shocks do leak quite often, not a lot, but after a few bash runs the stop bumpers are coated in oil, I suspect the seals are just a bad design. Also beware the cosmetic bead lock rings on the wheels do pop off easy from general bashing but some glue on the clips will keep them in place. I got my truck on the Spektrum Smart 4s 100c pack and it does great, lots of power however its not needed at all, the 3s 100c pack from Spektrum is plenty powerful enough for this truck, also a warning IT DOES NOT HANDLE WELL AT HIGH SPEEDS it can get over 40mph but any faster than 30 gets to loose and wrecks there is no steering gyro on it, obviously its not designed to go fast its designed to do stunts and jumps, so no need to spend more on a 4s battery if you don't have to. If you plan to fully convert the bottom end with aluminum parts I highly suggest you get travel limit straps for the shocks because the stock ones will likely get damaged from slamming open on jumps due to the heavier parts and also be warned the stunt mode performance will be effected due to the higher weight it was designed to work with. If this is your fist ever hobby grade truck or you are just looking for another basher this will be a fantastic choice, I love mine very much its very fun to drive.

Ahh i love the way this car handle... it's like most old school emaxx vibes ? Durability wise TERRIBLE .. broke so many things in the last week of ownership.. that part is kinda frustrating:/.. that's why it won't get a 5 star from me .. for the price they could have added all metal links ends

What reviewers say

Reviewers generally praise the LMT 2.0 Son-Uva Digger's handling and bashing fun, with one describing it as a strong first big-scale basher with stunt mode and expansion room for lights. Durability is the main recurring concern: one owner reported multiple breakages within a week, and another reported broken steering knuckles out of the box after a rollover. Reviewers disagree on overall value, with one suggesting metal link ends would have been appropriate at this price. One review praises the kit's realism and build quality. Reviews are few and two of the four are short, so the picture is limited.

  • + Fun handling and bashing performance
  • + Good control at normal speeds
  • + Stunt mode and expansion room for lights
  • + Realistic, well-made kit
  • − Poor durability reported
  • − Broken steering knuckles out of the box
  • − Plastic link ends rather than metal at this price
