Jameson Losi Mini-T 2.0 Complete Rear Shock Set

Unlike others, I too found it interesting the shock cap would not unscrew to fill with oil. However, after 5 minutes of research, and an awesome quick reply from a reviewer on youtube, you do not fill by taking off the cap. Losi shocks are apparently bottom filled. Low and behold, this is the case. The bleeding process is a little trial and error. But be aware, this is the case. I purchased the aluminum upgrades for all shocks when buying my truck, and learned this way.

The stock shocks are junk. My Losi Mini T came with varying degrees of oil in the shocks. I attempted to fill the shocks w/ oil, problem is the shock caps don't come off. Mine were either glued in place or put on so tight that they won't come off. I had to use pliers to remove the shock cap and ended up destroying the shock.

better than stock only the top part is metal waste of money

What reviewers say

Reviewers report that the shocks are filled from the bottom rather than by removing the top cap, which one buyer learned after research and found to be the case. Bleeding was described as a trial-and-error process. Another reviewer found the stock shocks arrived with uneven oil levels and that the top caps were glued or overtightened, leading to damage during removal. Ratings split between one positive review and two low ratings, with one of the low ratings calling the upgrade only partly metal and not worth the cost. The reviews all refer to this shock set variant.

  • + Metal upgrade over stock shocks
  • + Bottom-fill design explained by a reviewer
  • + Shocks fill and bleed with some trial and error
  • − Top caps difficult or impossible to remove
  • − Stock shocks arrived with varying oil levels
  • − Only the top portion is metal
  • − Shock damaged while removing cap
