LRP Buggy update: avoid this buggy at all Costs , it’ll just end up being a big expensive paperweight like mine did. Amain sent me a replacement Servo , because mine was glitching and the replacement they sent was also glitching.. these servos are complete junk . I’m considering buying new ones or at least a new steering servo , the throttle one works fine. You’re better off buying a Kyosho inferno Neo 3.0 or the Kyosho Inferno MP9 Tki 4 V2 you won’t have problems with any of those as I own both of em.

So it’s similar to a duratrax! Is my honest thought, but… take their best buggy! And remove every duratrax problem ever! Add mugen beefy parts! And fathom whoever left the bad review! Is an upset neighbour needing you to stop driving it 5 hours a day! Best choice ever!

Mine worked great! Yes it's a rtr so you can upgrade servos later but worked finr for bashing. shocks are butter and lot's of power. looks awesomein person. Great bang for the buck Razor RC did a review on youtube and he liked his also. he also compared to the others too such as the kyosho which costs pver 100 more and is slower.

This is a good buggy for the price,it does have great suspension and a good turning radius however the servos have a slight lag on occasion.

What reviewers say

Reviews of the LRP S8 Rebel BX3 1/8 RTR nitro buggy are mixed. Two verified owners rated it 1/5, citing poor build quality (warped bell housing, bearing binding, loose clutch shoe pins, a flimsy flywheel, a fuel tank lid that does not self-close) and unreliable servos, one of which was replaced under warranty but still glitched. Three reviews rated it 4 or 5 stars, praising the suspension, turning radius, power, shock performance, appearance and value for money, while noting occasional servo lag and that the RTR servos may be upgraded. One 5/5 review is largely off-topic and was given little weight. The reviews do not agree on overall quality, and the sample is small.

  • + Good suspension and turning radius
  • + Strong power and value for money
  • + Attractive appearance
  • + Upgradeable RTR servos
  • − Servo glitching and lag
  • − Warped bell housing and binding bearings
  • − Poor build quality and fit
  • − Fuel tank lid does not self-close
