Maclan 40mm Carbon Fan Guard Kit

Let me start off and say quality product but possible bad design. Why the 1-Star review? I have Maclan 40mm fan for my motor and 30mm for ESC both with fan guards on them. When the fans kicked on you could feel air from 30mm but their wasn't much it seemed from the 40mm on motor. Was thinking maybe guard was to tight or maybe a voltage issue? So I took it out, loosened the guard and still very little air moving. even though the fan cranking with correct voltage. Little air at edges but nothing directly in front of fan which is the purpose. So I took off the guard and bam!! I could literally feel the difference blowing the fan at my face and if you let the fan suck the guard back in place then back to basically nothing. What's weird is it doesn't seem to affect the 30mm with a guard on it, as of this writing haven't tested the 30mm yet. Now I like Maclan products and this design is no different then many of the other 40mm fan guards out there so maybe just issues with this size? So if you're running any fan guard I would definitely check for any air restriction with it on..
