About this part
Brushless 1/8 On-Road Muscle Car
The Maverick QuantumR Flux 1/8 4S 4WD Brushless Ready to Run Electric Muscle Car is a super realistic car that features high-quality roll bars, mirrors, a rear spoiler, and a sweet hood to top it all off! This absolute speed demon has been optimized from the chassis up for superior speed-run handling. HPI has equipped this with a ton of features including updated shock towers supporting short aluminum shocks, and short suspension arms with 17mm hex hubs bolting on the muscle car wheels that are wrapped in Tredz belted Vortex tires. The aggressive low-stance is highlighted by the composite front and rear splitter and diffuser, allowing for all-out ground-hugging downforce and drag race winning.
About the QuantumR Flux
Chassis & Suspension
The HPI Racing design team knew they would need a rugged backbone to compensate for the brutal 4S demand, along with the inevitable rolls and bumps along the way. They designed this kit from the chassis up with specified maximum heavy-duty (HD) parts throughout. The QuantumR Flux is well-equipped with durable parts including the HD front CVDs, HD rear driveshafts, HD rear axles, and HD drive cups. With independent double wishbone suspension, oil-filled adjustable aluminum coilover shocks, and a molded tub chassis that is designed with a low center of gravity, this ready-to-run car has superior handling that you can rely on.
Electronics
This beast comes with the powerful 2250kV Flux Motor that is designed to be a zero-maintenance sensorless brushless motor for the ultimate performance and ease of use. This is paired with the Maverick Brushless ESC that can hold a continuous current of 120 amps and has a water-resistant design to ensure longevity. Control this monster with the 2.4GHz MTX-544 transmitter and receiver combo that allows you to adjust the steering trim, dual rate settings, and more with the comfortable and ergonomic pistol grip designed radio.
Tires & Wheels
To further add to the intimidating stance of this car, it is equipped with six-spoke stylish wheels that are sure to turn some heads. They are made with high-strength composite material for durability and longevity and are wrapped in Tredz belted Vortex tires. These tires and wheels work together to provide optimal performance and traction during high-speed runs and tight cornering. The standard 17mm hex provides a secure fit and reduces the likelihood of losing traction during high-torque maneuvers.

- Pre-cut and factory-finished body with pre-applied decals
- Enclosed receiver box helps protect it from the elements
- Dual point bellcrank steering system with integrated servo saver
- Independent double wishbone suspension for ultimate traction
- Molded tub chassis with hex pattern reinforcement for added durability

Very nice car expeshly for the price great looking and great performance, definitely would recommend buying it
I have enjoyed mine as a project car. For the price I kept my expectations realistic. As it comes you will need to fill the front and rear diffs with oil of your choice. They’re dry. Center diff has grease or something in it, best to clean it and fill it with something known. You also will be happier if you get some m4 set screws that are 5mm long and replace the too short screws in the front and rear diff cones. After that it’s up to you. The car is very adjustable and since I wanted better handling I toed in my rear wheels a bit. Those 3 things get you running more dependably and handling better. Once all that was dialed in, I added a fast steering servo for even better handling. At this point since it could light up the tires at any speed with the stock gearing, I installed a spool and bigger pinion for the stock motor and ESC and have my car running at 60 mph on 4s. If that’s your goal I’d change the Deans connector on the ESC to something more appropriate. Oh yes, and since I have the Hobbywing Bluetooth OTA, it plugs into the ESC and makes it easy to set the parameters.
Broke on first run. No good and support is the same.
Reviewers of the Blue variant are split. One owner who treated it as a project car reports it runs well after setup: the differentials arrived dry, the centre diff contained unknown grease that they cleaned, and the diff cone screws were too short, so they recommend filling diffs with oil and fitting longer screws. They then tuned toe-in and added a faster steering servo, and describe it as adjustable with good handling for the price. Another owner praises the looks and performance and recommends it. A third owner reports it broke on its first run and criticises support. Reviews are few, so the picture is limited.
