About this part

Tire Overview:

The Method RC Velociter Belted Pre-Mount 1/7 On-Road Tires are designed to increase stability and consistency at high speeds. Designed specifically for the rear of 1/7 scale RC vehicles, these Velociter tires are made from an advanced rubber compound specifically for speed runs and bashing. The tread pattern is designed to tackle concrete and asphalt with tread depth for long wear and the ability to clear debris. Designed for 1/7 scale power systems, these tires feature hand-laid belts to keep ballooning to the absolute minimum. Pre-mounted to Hive wheels and equipped with a removable 17mm hex.

Note:
  • Arrma 1/8 Felony Owners: These are the same diameter as the Felony front tires. Therefore, you need to change the gearing in the rear to match the front gearing. Or, you could have overdrive in the font by not changing
  • Arrma 1/8 Limitless Owners: These fit directly on the rear without any trimming or regearing. The 10mm wider stance enhances rear traction bias as well as providing a meaner look.
  • Arrma 1/8 Infraction Owners: These will work on the rear of the infraction but you will need to trim the fender flares in the rear to accommodate the wider tires. No regearing necessary as they are the same diameter as the stock rear tires.

Features:

  • Hand-laid belts nearly eliminate tire expansion creating a stable/consistent platform at high speeds
  • Less tire expansion greatly reduces the "gyro" effect reducing the overall load on the servo, axles, plastics, and hub bearings
  • Unique "M" channel detail throughout provides a neutral/all-around performance on all concrete and asphalt surfaces
  • Generous tread depth for long wear and the ability to easily clear debris
  • Pre-mounted to Hive Wheels

Specifications:

They look cool, but 3 out of 4 blew off the outer beads on a test hit. No reply from A-Main on this so I can’t recommend them for any actual speed runs.

I tried these street tires on my slash two-wheel drive for the rear I have a 5700 KV motor and I drove the car with the wheels on there for 5mins and they blew off the rim then I glue them back to give them another try but they blew off again it's a good tire just needs more foam inside because it makes a lot of sound going high speeds and a better gluing job to keep them together love the width of the tire for bashing around kept car more stable from flipping over on tight turns

What reviewers say

All three reviews are negative and come from verified owners of the rear tire set, which is listed as a pre-mounted pair with black belted tires on Hive 17mm hex wheels. Two reviewers report the tires separating from the wheels, one after a short test run and one after roughly five minutes at high speed with a 5700KV motor on a two-wheel-drive Slash; the second reviewer reports the tire came off after being glued back on. One reviewer says the tires are only suitable for toy cars, and one notes no reply from the seller after reporting the problem. The one partly positive comment praises the tire width for bashing and stability on tight turns, though it also mentions noise at high speed and suggests more foam and better gluing are needed.

  • + Wide tire profile aids stability on tight turns
  • + Appearance described as cool
  • − Tires blow off the rims or outer beads
  • − Noticeable noise at high speed
  • − Unsuitable for speed runs
