Be sure to watch the YouTube instruction video to this. This printed instructions are okay, but the YouTube video fast tracks the process. Make sure to be thorough in the installation, and you will never have to worries about twisting the axle.

I have owned these for my stampede 4x4 and they are strong but very very heavy so you acceleration will be worse. Another problem I have had with these is it wore out my diffs really fast, you could wobble the diff outputs a lot, and when you accelerated you could see the drive shafts moving up and down from the slop. So I bought the tekno m6 shafts and my truck was able to do standing backflips because the rotating mass was significantly less with the tekno drive shafts. Highly recommend tekno over these.

What reviewers say

Reviewers are divided on the MIP X-Duty Rear CVD Drive Kit for Traxxas Slash, Stampede, Rustler and Rally. Several long-term owners, including on 4x4 and 2WD trucks, report the driveshafts are very strong and durable, with some describing them as tough and a lasting upgrade over stock plastic shafts. Others note the kit is heavy, which may reduce acceleration, and one reports wear to differentials and excess play. Recurring complaints include hub bearing damage from overtightened wheel lock nuts due to the lack of a backing pin or second set screw, a cracked wheel hex from tightening set screws, missing locktite and grease, and limited instructions. One reviewer reports a shaft breaking within minutes of use. A YouTube installation video is recommended.

  • + Lasts well beyond stock plastic shafts
  • − Heavy, may reduce acceleration
