Mugen Seiki MBX8TR ECO 1/8 Off-Road Competition Electric Truggy Kit
About this part
Mugen Seiki MBX8TR 1/8 Scale Electric Truggy!
The Mugen Seiki MBX8TR ECO 1/8 Off-Road Competition Electric Truggy Kit features many improvements to make it the next level in the performance truggy category. Improved C and D mounts, differentials, and drivetrain, and body deliver stunning performance and looks.
Suspension:
The “C” and “D” suspension mounts use square pills for increased tuning of toe-in, anti-squat, and geometry. The front and rear arms use an impact resistant material for increased durability. The molded uprights have carbon fiber plates to adjust the rear roll center.
Drivetrain:
High Traction Differentials (HTD) are included in the MBX8TR. The Mugen Seiki HTD provides increased acceleration, longer runtime, and more consistent handling. The HTD’s also increase stability, traction, and handling in bumpy conditions. The MBX8TR also comes with updated sun gears to improve internal mesh and differential action.

Great build, top notch quality. This is my 5th mugen kit and as they were great from the first one they get better and better every release. Highly recommend, durable and smooth.
Truggy kit went together great and the parts feel quality and extremely sturdy. Some of the screws were a little hard to drive in so I would recommend a power driver or you could end up stripping them. Drives fantastic
Fantastic truggy! I built this as a back up for club racing but I like it as much if not more than my main truggy. Pretty straight forward build with some supplementals. Light, agile, handles great, what’s not to like! I would highly recommend, Mugen git this correct! Nicely done!
The best truggy on the market and the best priced for the kit! My only complaints are when you go to buy spare parts the prices are too high, and the drive pins on the driveshafts wear a bit quick. So get the Mugen drive pin replacement tool or watch the YouTube video on how to replace them in a vise.
I’m pretty sure this is one of the best e truggy kits out there! Excellent build and quality materials. Will definitely recommend
Reviewers almost uniformly praise the MBX8TR ECO kit's build experience, quality and handling. Several describe it as well made, sturdy and easy to assemble, with clearly labelled bags, and some report it handles and drives well. One reviewer compares it favourably to other kits and notes Mugen's engineering, including harder plastic in differentials and softer plastic in lower arms. Recurring criticisms are that some screws are hard to drive and can strip, so a power driver needs care or a light lubricant is recommended, and that drive pins on the driveshafts wear quickly. One reviewer also finds spare parts expensive. Several reviews are short and some have not raced the kit yet, so long-term durability remains less documented.
