I bought this plane after a horrible experience with a Hobbyzone Duet, which I don’t recommend as the ESC caught fire after the second flight. I was skeptical to buy another plane from Horizon Hobby, and this seemed like the perfect solution. I ordered it and it arrived after only 3 days after. After putting it together, which only took 5 minutes because of the ingenious snap-together construction, and the battery charged fast. After the first flight, it was in high winds so a gust sent it into a concrete driveway. This brings me to another of its strong points- it can survive a MASSIVE beating. It has crashed brutally into multiple concrete surfaces, fallen out of the sky from 100 feet on full power, and the only damage is a bit of superficial damage at the front, and a slightly chipped control surface. If you are on the fence about this plane, buy it. Definitely a great plane if you are just starting, as it is incredibly easy to fly.

Replacement parts for this plane are not currently available! I don't recommend buying one until you can confirm that replacement parts have become available again. I think we'd like this plane overall, but we flew it once and broke a wing and can't get a replacement part... so it sits in the box in the closet waiting. I reached out to the manufacturer and they don't have a timeframe for when parts will be in stock again, but they said it's going to be a while.

This is a great plane for beginners and experienced flyers alike. Very simple to fly and land. Good sturdy design.

What reviewers say

Reviewers largely praise the T720's ease of flying, sturdy construction, quick snap-together assembly and power, with several recommending it for beginners and experienced pilots. One reviewer reports it survived repeated hard crashes. The main recurring issue is replacement parts: one verified owner broke a wing after one flight and reported that the manufacturer had no restock timeframe, so the plane was sidelined. That review also advised waiting until parts availability is confirmed. Four of five reviews are 5/5, one is 3/5, and reviews are few in number.

  • + Easy to fly, including for beginners
  • + Sturdy, crash-tolerant design
  • + Quick snap-together assembly
  • + Good power and flight performance
  • − Replacement wing parts unavailable
  • − No restock timeframe from manufacturer
  • − Only five reviews, limiting confidence
