About this part

The Orlandoo OH32X01 1/32 Micro Rock Bouncer Crawler Kit is an incredibly capable micro size scaler. This cellphone sized kit includes a highly detailed tube chassis, super soft scale tires, scale axles and twelve hole. But don't let the micro size fool you! This micro scale truck is equipped with solid axles, 4-link suspension, a motor forward transmission, friction shocks on all four corners and enough detail to make this tiny bouncer look great, with performance to match.

The OH32X01 is an unassembled kit, and requires servo, ESC, motor and battery for completion. We recommend you choose Orlandoo Hunter components to complete the package. You will need one 2.2g micro digital servo, one Orlandoo micro motor, one 120mAH 2S LiPo battery, one PCB/LED/ESC board (OLHTS0002 or OLHTS0002-B recommended) and a 3 channel radio system to finish off the kit. Some building experience is recommended.

Rhetton Orlandoo Hunter OH32X01 1/32 Micro Rock Bouncer Crawler Kit

I have no idea what the negative reviewers are talking about on here. First off I have almost all of the Orlandoo kits and multiples of some and have not once encountered a missing piece. I’m fact they give you multiples of the very smallest pieces in the kit. Second the review referring to the kit as “junk” gives no explanation as to why. These kits are extremely high quality and go together wonderfully. They are a joy to build and to drive. You should be an experienced model builder if you plan on buying these kits though. Otherwise you will be frustrated and hate the entire process. Also do not expect to be able to bash these RCs like you would a much larger scale RC. This kit is really tough but I think some people forget how tiny all of the parts are and how they inherently makes them more fragile. If you enjoy scale building and are detail oriented you will absolutely love this kit. This rock bouncer is one of the most simple kits that Orlandoo offers.

Love this little buggy. Not sure why all the negative reviews. The most tedious part is fitting the ESC (remove the case) and doing a bit of wire management. With the 300rpm motor, it's not quite walking speed, but it crawls like an ant. I've built the Tundra and the Trophy Truck, this one is the easiest to assemble of the three. Just be prepared and patient with fitting the electronics.

Neat little thing, build was fairly easy. Some tricky TINY pieces, but overall not too bad. The chassis being molded in one piece leaves little access to install the electronics neatly, you just have to stuff them in. The throttle is far too On/OFF with the 4-in-1 unit, I wish it was much less sensitive. Hard to crawl smoothly, but works ok for higher speed driving. I used the 500 RPM motor which probably didn’t help either.

This is a review specifically of the OH32X01 rock bouncer, which is the single most frustrating RC kit I've dealt with. My TL;DR is that if you're going to buy this, just buy all the metal upgrade parts for the gearbox, skid, and axles and save yourself dealing with the crappy plastics. I'd really like to try a different kit from this line, but I just don't trust the build quality now. Pros: This is a really fun size/form factor for setting up little crawler courses with blocks and lego and whatever else you have around the house. It _should_ be the ideal rainy-day RC toy. Cons: Almost everything else. The quality and tolerances are unacceptable. -The plastic simply split on about half the holes for the ball connectors. I tried everything to keep it from happening, but the plastic is thin (obviously, this is tiny) and really cheap. So I wound up packing the holes with glue to try and keep the balls from falling out while driving. -The geometry of the pieces means it's almost impossible to get certain connectors screwed in straight, which increases the likelihood of splitting. -I had to sand down some spots in the driveline and shim other spots in order to keep the whole thing from binding. It's simply not built with very good tolerances. -Soldering and installing the tiny SMD rear lights is one of the most frustrating tasks I've ever engaged in. On the plus side, I'm probably now a journeyman solderer. -There's no instructions on how everything wires up, and it's kind of different from other RCs. -Bending the steering linkage myself with my needlenose pliers was the most anxiety-inducing step I've ever had in an RC build. I got it to match the image in the instructions but I think the bend should have been a little deeper because it rubs a bit and has a lot of toe out. -The wheel nuts aren't locking, so they will come loose. And the tires will absolutely pop off the wheels if you don't glue them. -God help you if you let one of the springs go pinging away while you're trying to put the shocks together, because you will never find that little bastard again.

What reviewers say

Reviewers are split on this 1/32 micro rock crawler kit. Positive reviews praise its build quality, enjoyable assembly and driving, and durability, with one owner reporting continued use since 2021. Several reviewers say it suits experienced builders, citing tiny parts, micro soldering, and tight electronics fitting. Recurring complaints include a plastic chassis that makes electronics installation awkward, an overly on/off throttle on the 4-in-1 unit that makes smooth crawling hard, and a 1-star reviewer describing split plastic and poor tolerances. Two reviewers report a missing part and unhelpful customer service. One reviewer recommends upgrading to all-metal gearbox, skid and axle parts. Two low-rated reviews offer little specific detail.

  • + Enjoyable to build and drive
  • + Durable with metal upgrade parts
  • + Fast with speed setup
  • + Good size for small crawler courses
  • − Tiny parts and micro soldering
  • − Awkward electronics fitting in one-piece chassis
  • − Throttle too sensitive for smooth crawling
  • − Plastic parts reported to split or be poor quality
