This boat is a lot of fun. 5 stars on the fun factor. Design flaw in the rear hatch; it needs to be water proof. A couple of latches of some sort would have done it. I purchased two and one runs fine but the other cuts out periodically and it will come back on in a second or two but I'm not sure why it's doing it. Hull is well protected on the bottom but sides are vulnerable, when running in a whitewater environment it's easy to crack the boat in the chine area as I found out.

I’m in RC car guy, but after seeing a couple videos I had a feeling this boat would be super fun! It does not disappoint! I tried it out in my swimming pool and it exceeded my expectations! This thing shreds! Can’t wait till I can use this in a larger body of water with rapids lol. The hull seals well but the cockpit does tend to fill with water if you’re getting rowdy. I am making a foam insert to displace the water and that should take care of it and keep it from sinking! Worst case scenario lol I also temporarily taped a piece of foam to the bow just to cushion those impacts. 3S is good but 4S is bomb!!

What can i say but don't hesitate just buy it! You won't be disappointed it's a blast !! . Sure it doesn't do 50 mph , but it wasn't designed to be a speed boat guys and girls . It's a basher on the water and one of my favorites to date . Working on making some light whips for it right now . It will definitely put a smile on your face and just go with the 4s lipo from the get go . Have fun and thank you amian for great service and fast shipping.

Fun boat, looks cool, electronics are a mess though. It’s a total random luck whether it chooses to turn normal or if controls are reversed(yes there’s a manual want to change it but it has a kind of its own on what it decides to match up to what the remote is doing). Full battery or not, power is unpredictable which is really sketchy if you’re thinking of taking on quicker moving water as it does not self right. The battery box which contains all the electronics is not water proof and fills with about half a cup of water every 10 minutes. It’s fun but it’s not really the product I was hoping it would be. Cage is delicate, the unpredictable nature makes me nervous in higher stakes rapids. 3 of 4 times out so far, I’ve come home with wet clothes from either having controls failure or tip overs. The kit should come with three things, a battery, hip waiters and extra patience.

What reviewers say

Reviewers agree the boat is fun and performs well in pools and open water, with two of four reviews rating it 5/5 and praising its speed and 4S battery performance. The lower-rated reviews, 2/5 and 3/5, report recurring problems: the rear battery hatch or electronics box admits water, and one reports intermittent motor cut-outs that the reviewer could not explain. One reviewer reports unpredictable steering that sometimes reverses controls and uneven power, and cautions against fast rapids. One reviewer reports the chine cracking in whitewater, and the cockpit taking on water in rough running. Reviewers disagree on reliability, with the 2/5 and 3/5 reviews citing electronics and water-ingress issues that the 5/5 reviews do not mention.

  • + Fun to run
  • + Strong performance on 4S
  • + Good hull sealing
  • + Well-protected bottom
  • − Rear hatch and battery box take on water
  • − Intermittent motor cut-outs
  • − Unpredictable controls in one report
  • − Vulnerable chine and cage
