About this part

Ready-To-Motor at Blistering Speeds

The Pro Boat Blackjack series of ready-to-run catamarans saw a significant upgrade in both performance and style with the introduction of the large-scale Blackjack 42" in 2021. This model incorporated Spektrum Smart technology, enhancing the overall Blackjack experience. Pro Boat has now applied these advancements to the smaller, more affordable Blackjack 24”, improving both its appearance and performance. The updated brushless power system features premium Spektrum electronics, including a Spektrum Firma 2200Kv brushless motor and a Spektrum Firma 90A Smart ESC. The Smart-ready ESC allows for real-time telemetry data when paired with an optional Spektrum Smart receiver and transmitter. Right out of the box, the Blackjack 24” is equipped for 4S power, offering incredible speed and acceleration with the recommended batteries.

About the Blackjack 24"

Rudder

Any RC boat will eventually have an accident, and the rudder is often the first part to get damaged. The Blackjack 24” catamaran features a breakaway rudder designed to swing out if it hits a solid object, preventing it from breaking off the hull and minimizing damage. This design eliminates the need to replace screws, simply push the rudder back into place and tighten it.

Battery Lock

No more struggling to secure batteries in your boat hull’s limited space. The Blackjack 24” catamaran features an SSL (Strap, Slide, Lock) system, making battery installation fast and hassle-free. Swapping out batteries is quick and easy, getting you back on the water in just seconds.

Power

Like its 42” long “big brother,” the ready-to-run Blackjack 24” catamaran is built for serious brushless performance. It comes equipped for 4S LiPo power straight out of the box. Simply install the recommended batteries, and you'll be hitting speeds over 45 mph immediately.

  • Incredible styling and extreme 4S performance with 45+ MPH

Haven’t had time but for a couple runs but it did great, extremely fast. So fast it pulled my antenna tube out while running. I’ve already replaced that. Gonna try shortening it a little. Otherwise no complaints at all. Again very fast and handles well. Does best on flat water!

Wayne CaswellVerified owneron Pro Boat Blackjack 24" V2 Catamaran Brushless RTR Electric Boat

Yes, it's fast, especially when it gets up on plane. With it, I can even keep up with or beat my buddies and their much larger 36" and 48" boats from ProBoat or Traxxas. But I'm sorry to say I cannot recommend the 24" Blackjack. It's just too small for a catamaran. Prepare to also buy a Rescue Boat or kayak. While V-hull boats dig into turns, catamarans corner flat, and that's where the problem comes, especially on smaller boats. Cornering flat can be exciting with a bigger catamaran, but the outside hull of smaller boats can dig into another boat's wake or any chop in the water and cause it to flip over. That's not a problem with V-hull boats, because they almost always have the ability to right themselves. Catamarans don't. So, if the wind is not blowing your stranded boat to your shore line, you'll have to rely on a rescue boat or kayak, or go swimming, like I've had to do. So, what do I drive against my buddies instead? My favorite is still an old $99 AlphaRev R608, which is no longer offered by that company but can still be found as a clone by others. I've replaced the prop and do regular maintenance, but the damn thing is spunky and damn fun to drive, even if it's still slower than my friends.

Awesome boat super fast and fun. It can flip over with no self writing so you have to learn how to drive it. Very easy maintenance, the drive cable is easy to access. Great 1st boat!

What reviewers say

Reviewers agree the Blackjack 24" V2 catamaran is very fast, especially once on plane, and that maintenance is straightforward, with the drive cable easy to access. Two of three reviewers rate it highly and describe it as fun and suitable as a first boat. The lowest-rated review recommends against it, arguing the 24-inch size is too small for a catamaran: the outside hull can dig into wakes or chop during flat cornering and cause a flip, which the reviewer says requires a rescue boat or kayak nearby. One reviewer reports the antenna tube pulled out during running and was replaced. Another notes the boat can flip and needs to be learned to drive. Sample size is small.

  • + Very fast, especially on plane
  • + Easy drive cable access for maintenance
  • + Fun, suitable as a first boat
  • + Handles well on flat water
  • − Can flip during flat cornering in chop or wakes
  • − Antenna tube pulled out during running
  • − Small size considered too small for a catamaran by one reviewer
