So far so good. Initially hesitant because these are marked as XL and I have the 1.9 Pro Line KM3s (non class 1) with an OD of 4.77”. The dual stages are much larger than the stock memory foam inserts so I was hesitant, but they installed fine and work really well. With my TRX4’s front axle loaded with some brass parts the stock foams were folding over pretty badly. With the dual stages I still get the conforming soft outer but much better side hill performance.

Works well with Pro-line 1.9 XL interco tires. Foams aren't overly soft, but form to rocks nicely while still supporting the truck on off camber obstacles

What reviewers say

Eleven reviews, mostly verified owners, rate these dual-stage 1.9 XL foam inserts highly (majority 5/5, one 4/5, one 3/5). Reviewers commonly praise the soft outer foam that conforms to rocks while the firmer inner core resists tire collapse under torque, improving grip and side-hill performance with 1.9 crawler tires such as Pro-Line Interco, Hyrax, Super Swamper and Pitbull Rockbeast. The main recurring complaint is installation difficulty, as the inserts can shift during fitting. One reviewer found side-hill performance worse with a 2.2 rim and Deepwoods tires, suggesting the closed-cell foam could be smaller, and questioned long-term durability and price. A 3/5 reviewer noted the product is best suited to rigs under about 9 lbs.

  • + Soft outer foam conforms to rocks
  • + Firm core resists tire collapse
  • + Improved grip and side-hill traction
  • + Works well with 1.9 crawler tires
  • − Difficult to install, inserts shift
  • − Possible poor fit on 2.2 rim with Deepwoods
  • − Durability and price concerns
  • − Best suited to rigs under about 9 lbs
