About this part

Pro-Line Reaction HP Belted Drag Slick 2.2/3.0 SCT Rear Tires feature a High-Performance herringbone weave pattern Belt molded inside the tire. These belted slick Drag Racing tires were specifically made for no-prep Drag racing and will not balloon or expand during use, giving you more control when you are putting down the power! The Reaction HP SC tires provide the incredible grip that you expect from Pro-Line but will also provide unmatched stability. Just like all of Pro-Line's tires, they are proudly Made in the USA!

NOTE: Reaction HP tires have a maximum speed rating that, if exceeded, could result in permanent damage to the internal belt. For the Reaction HP SC tires that is 90 mph or about 7,000 RPM. Over revving your Reaction HP tires could result in breaking the internal belt, which will NOT be covered under warranty. This can be caused by "diffing out" your tires or holding the throttle open while one, two or three of your tires are stopped, which substantially increases the RPM sent to the free-spinning tire or tires.

Tires work best if they’re hot. On a hot summer day (mid 80’s) I usually got the tires up to 110 to 120 degrees by doing carpet burn outs before taking off. I use Simple Green to keep the tires clean so I can hopefully achieve the same results.

Love the tires. They hold traction very well and do not balloon. Recommend doing burnouts on carpet to prolong the life of the tires.

These blue dots are far superior to other brand drag slicks, just add a little heat to them and they get sticky. As far as throwing a lot of power at them, well read the disclaimer in the description. The price is a little steep. Not sure on how long they last, I just started running them.

What reviewers say

Six reviews, all rated 4 or 5 out of 5, report strong grip from these rear drag slicks. Reviewers of the Ultra Blue variant say the tires become sticky once warmed and after break-in, and one calls them superior to other drag slicks. Reviewers of the S3 variant say they perform best when hot, with some recommending carpet burnouts before runs, and say they hold traction without ballooning. One Ultra Blue reviewer finds the price steep and is unsure of lifespan because they had only just started running them. One reviewer notes the product description's disclaimer about high power levels. Reviews are brief and few, and no reviewer reports a major failure.
