This servo does not stop there, when cranked up to 8.4V you can see 230 oz-in and 0.07 transit speed. These specs make for an excellent choice for 1/12 or 1/10 scale RC vehicles. Other features include a plastic case with an aluminum center band for heat dissipation, a metal gear train with dual ball bearings, 160mm long 22awg connector wire and a coreless motor.

Just finished assembling a tamia super avanti, fits and does the job well! Always had good luck with Protec products.
Great servo. Got it using a coupon so it was a way better value than a Savox, plus it's the only Protek servo rated for 8.4v! At 7.4v Enough torque and speed for almost any use and low profile to fit anywhere. Can't go wrong. I will use this in 2wd and 4x4 SCT and possibly 1/10 TC. Installed but haven't run it yet. Dead silent at rest and quiet when turning. A fantastic do it all servo for the money, esp if you have a good coupon! Well done Protek for filling the gap with an affordable 8.4v low profile well rounded servo.
Been using this servo for a few months now in both a Tamiya Race Semi, and a 2wd LCG Slash, and I've been more then pleased with the performance and results from this sub $100 servo. It's nice to know we can still by a quality servo at this price point, and with it being a low profile servo, its applications are more than plentiful.
Installed this in my Yokomo RS1.0 touring car. No issues so far. Holds center and is decently quick. I am running a servo saver with this. Good value for the money.
If I could give this less than one star I would. For context these used to be my go to servo. I thought they were the best bang for the buck. I have a lot of them, in most of my current race cars I have one of these but I will never buy one again. I bought one of these from my local hobby shop. I did not expect any issues given the past performance. I installed it in the car & it was defective out of the box. I have a lot of cars, close to 25, so I tried it in another car, same thing. The hobby shop exchanged the servo & I thought all would be well. Installed the replacement servo, same thing dead out of the box. At this point I contacted A-main for a warranty claim. Then gave me the option of refund or replacement. I chose replacement & shipped my servo back. I got the replacement, dead out of the box. Tried it on 3 different cars that I am currently racing, same result dead. I contacted A-main again & they shipped me out another servo & did not want the warranty replacement one returned. So now I am thinking, this is like the 5th servo it has to work. Dead out of the box. Well, this one tries to work but any load on it will cause it to fail. I gave up calling A-main but in the end I paid for a working servo & never got one. So I will never buy another Protek servo. I do have a lot of Protek stuff as far as batteries & other tools but I'll never buy another servo & I will never recommend these again.
Nine reviews rate this high-voltage low-profile metal gear servo, with eight giving 5 out of 5 and one giving 1 out of 5. Reviewers who praise it describe good value for the price, enough speed and torque for touring, buggy, SCT and oval racing, low-profile fitment, and returning accurately to center. One reviewer notes it is rated for 8.4V and has run it at 7.4V. The single low rating reports a unit defective out of the box, including a replacement from a local hobby shop, and a subsequent warranty claim with the manufacturer. Reviews do not show how common this failure is.
