ProTek RC 1S High Capacity Sanwa M17 LiPo Transmitter Battery (3.7V/5500mAh)
About this part
This is the ProTek R/C High Capacity 1S Transmitter Battery with 5500mAh of capacity, for use with the Sanwa M17 Surface Transmitter. This light weight Li-Poly transmitter battery will help to dramatically extend the run time that your transmitter can offer, which is great for long days at the field!
How should the battery be inserted into the transmitter?
A suitable foam should be used to pad the battery in the transmitter battery compartment to help hold the battery in place and prevent it from moving around. Place a piece similar in size to the battery into the transmitter battery housing under the battery, and then while pressing lightly on the battery, slide the cover over the battery.

IMPORTANT:
1) DO NOT leave the battery in your model when charging
2) DO NOT leave unattended when charging
3) ALWAYS balance charge the battery
4) ALWAYS use a LiPo charging bag
5) YOU MUST use a Li-Poly specific charger to charge the pack (NiMH or NiCD only chargers WILL NOT WORK!)
6) YOU MUST not over discharge the Li-Poly battery pack
7) READ & UNDERSTAND the instructions carefully before operating this battery
NOTE: When using high energy Li-Polymer Batteries, please do not over-discharge or over-charge batteries as this will result in over heated batteries. Discharging capacity can't exceed 80% of the max capacity of the pack after full charging to ensure a good cycle performance. It is recommended to fully charge a brand new battery before using and only discharge the battery 50% for first 5 cycles. Always monitor race time and/or set a low voltage warning on ESC (End voltage cannot be lower than 3.2v per cell). Do not use the battery that has too low a voltage.
Do not expose batteries to sunshine or store/charge batteries at the temperature above 35°C or in a closed car. The high temperature environment could cause damage to the pack or make it burst. If the battery becomes hot while fast charging, high current discharging or racing, do not charge the battery until it has cooled completely. Wait about 20 mins, then inspect prior to recharging.
NOTE: For a more lightweight 1S option, see the 3000mAh MT-44 Transmitter Battery (it fits) - PTK-5197

Stays charged the whole race day and then some! Wish it had the micro usb on the side to recharge, like the stock battery does on the m17.
This battery will fit in the Sanwa MT-5 as well as the M17. Just a note in case folks were wondering.
This is a good battery for the M17 radio, lasts about five days without needing recharged unlike the junk lipo that comes stock in the m17. But I'm glad I bought it around a year ago, because now it's way overpriced like all other Protek lipos.
for my one hour and 45 min mains, i will use these, for the "Just in Case Scenario!! nothing more Annoying! hearing a Low Battery Alarm! on a radio when driving!! lol for sure a Great Pit Box Accessory for your Radio.
Reviewers generally report that this 3.7V 5500mAh LiPo battery provides long runtime on the Sanwa M17, with one owner noting about five days between charges and another saying it lasts through a full race day. Reviewers also note it fits the Sanwa MT-5 as well as the M17. One reviewer wished the battery had a micro USB port on the side for recharging, as the stock battery does. A lower-rated review says the price has risen considerably since purchase, which the reviewer considers overpriced relative to other ProTek LiPos. Another reviewer describes it as a useful spare to avoid low-battery alarms during a long session.
