ProTek RC 30x30x10mm Aluminum High Speed HV Cooling Fan (Silver/Black)
About this part
The ProTek RC 30x30x10mm Aluminum High Speed HV Cooling Fan is a great option to keep your ESC and motor temps in check. The fan features a machined aluminum case that helps to dissipate heat, allowing cooler operation of the fan motor at high voltage specs. Plus the aluminum frame work adds strength to the assembly, helping protect the fan blades in the event of a crash.
The fan is a true 2S HV component, that has been built to last with dual ball bearings, and pre-wired 30mm long 2 pin JST connector. Plus, we include a 200mm long adapter plug that allows you to connect the fan directly to the receiver or another source of power. The fan can be mounted directly to the chassis with double side tape, or by using an optional fan mount (not included).
NOTE: This fan should be installed at least 5mm away from the motor to allow sufficient air flow and prevent magnet interference.

These fans are good. They push a lot of air and the aluminum housing is nice and sturdy and does not flex. I replaced the ESC and Motor fans on my Taxxas Maxx with these because the original ones were bad quality and fan blades would break off with flexing during rough bashing. Only thing is I had to flip the + and - on the connector around for whatever reason.
This fan looks great and pushes a lot of air. Unfortunately, it died on me after about a month and I only used it in a handful of carpet races. I even made sure to get any carpet fibers out of the fan blades after every heat. Will try something else. *Update - AMain reached out and are sending me a replacement under warranty. Hopefully this one lasts longer. Will update review after some track time.
This thing really blows out some air especially on a 7.4 bec setup. I have 2 of these and they are the best fans on the market to date.
Excellent construction, perform great. I run them on all my 1/10th scales.
These provide the same airflow as the equally expensive plastic bodied fans but hold up better. A little heavier maybe but well worth it. In all my vehicles.
Reviewers broadly agree the fan moves a lot of air and keeps motors and electronics cooler, and many praise the sturdy aluminum housing and its appearance. Noise is a frequent note, described as loud but generally accepted. The main disagreement concerns durability: a notable group reports fans dying within weeks or breaking blades, with some receiving warranty replacements, while others report years of trouble-free use. Several reviewers mention the wire being flimsy or short, and one reports interference with a small motor with vent holes. Some reviews describe a 'ProTek RC' fan variant and a blue version, and the reviews mention ProTek and AMain together. Reviews are mixed overall, with the sample of 37 showing both praise and failure reports.
