I purchased this to compare to my trusty 160T servos and have no regrets in trying this new model. This is slightly shorter than the 160T and performs in every way I can ask for.
I am still building my X-ray 1:10 formula car. But this little servo fit in perfectly. I bought on advice of Amain hobbies. Good choice.
As of writing this review, I am currently pleased with the ProTek RC 381 servo. It has great speed and torque. It is a great upgrade from my original Futaba servo for my RC 10T.
This servo has been a powerhouse in my 1/10 Oval program. This servo fits perfectly in popular High Bite oval cars using servo mounting positions between the kick ups, no more shims to get proper fitment.
All four reviewers are verified owners who rate the ProTek RC 381 servo 5/5, and they describe it as a satisfying upgrade over earlier servos. Reviewers compare it favourably with a 160T and a Futaba servo, and report strong speed and torque. Two reviewers mention a close physical fit in 1/10 scale cars, one in an X-ray formula car and one in a High Bite oval car, where it mounts without shims. The reviews are uniformly positive, though they are few in number and none discuss durability, long-term use or the metal case in detail. The listed variant matches the reviews, but the reviews do not describe the high-voltage rating specifically.
- + Strong speed and torque
- + Slightly shorter than 160T servos
- + Fits 1/10 formula and oval cars without shims
- + Clear upgrade over older servos
