Just Received this servo yesterday and I was eager to test it inside my AE b74.2D, First I did a bench test , with a servo horn and tried for force the servo by hand to validate the power at neutral and WOW I think that Protek HIT an homerun with these new line of servos. No more dead band issues. This servo start strong from neutral and is super smooth and quiet. After I installed it in the buggy and I was really impressed. Super strong neutral , new motor inside seems to have better precise movement. Overall for sure I need to test it at the track and report back in a couple of weeks. I need to run it and see if it will keep neutral after a couples of small bobbles or crash. So far this seems to be a good servo in the Protek Line-up, this servo at 6volts is faster than the 160TBL at the same voltage and the 575 is lightyears beyond in torque and feel. Hope more people try these and report back. (Update 24t of April 2025) unfortunately after more testing this servo is not durable , the gears gets damage way to easily ,and only after a Friday practice and one Saturday race the gears are already Crunchy. That's unfortunate. go purchase a Reefs 299 LP you will have better results at an even lower price point. Will test it more until the gears gets even worse .
The speed and power are off the charts. However I did have to replace the gears after only about 4 packs. Could have been driver error but I didn't have any bad crashes. If that didn't happen I'd give it 5 stars for sure
Using this servo in 1/10 2wd buggy and touring car. Great servo, super fast and a lot of torque.
Used in my 10th scale off-road 4wd and works flawlessly. High quality from Protek. Will buy the same servo for all my 10th scale cars.
Cant really rate it atm but it looks really nice.....
Reviewers generally describe the ProTek RC 575 High Volt / Metal Case servo as very fast and strong, with several praising its torque and smooth neutral performance across 1/10 and 1/8 buggies, touring and SCT chassis. Some reviewers note a noisy idle, which one attributes possibly to their radio. The main recurring complaint is gear stripping: one reviewer replaced gears after about four packs, and another reported stripping from side bumps. A French-language review reports two units breaking after roughly five packs without hard impacts. Ratings are split between praise from most verified and unverified owners and low scores from two owners citing durability. One reviewer had not yet formed a full judgement.
- + Fast and powerful
- + Strong torque
- + Smooth, precise neutral
- + Works across multiple chassis
- − Gears strip or fail
- − Durability concerns after several packs
- − Noisy at idle
