ProTek RC Aluminum Clamping Servo Horn (Black) (25T-ProTek)
About this part
This is a replacement ProTek R/C Aluminum Clamping Servo Horn, intended for use with ProTek R/C servos. This extremely tough servo-horn has been machined from a solid block of aluminum for incredible precision, rigidity and durability. The horn features a clamp type design that grips the servo’s output shaft so if the retainer screw comes loose, the horn will have a better chance of remaining in place, increasing your chances of finishing the race! Plus, the horn has a 3.5mm thick arm for durability, with 16.5mm and 20mm hole spacing threaded for 3mm hardware to suit the geometry and hardware requirements of most vehicles. Package includes one black anodized servo horn, 3x10mm button head screw, 2x7.5mm clamp screw and a star lock washer.
Features:
- Clamp design
- 16.5mm and 20mm hole spacing (measured from output shaft screw hole, to linkage rod holes, center to center)
- 3.5mm thick arm
- 31mm Overall length
- Linkage holes threaded for 3mm hardware
- 25T Spline ProTek Output Shaft
ProTek R/C is an AMain Sports & Hobbies brand.

Stout servo horn, I'm running one on a truggy, two 1/8 buggies and a 1/10 4wd mod buggy. Not a single issue wtih any of them. Very strong.
Great servo horn goes really well with my savox 1230
Protek put a 24T servo horn in a 25T labled bag. is this a one off?. Update : Amain refunded my money into a store credit. Very happy with the level of customer service and contact made. Hope this is a one off as Protek make great gear and at the best price point. Fits Holmes Hobbies servos but not others.
Very low profile. Replaced axial aluminum horn that was hitting tie rod at full suspension compression on my SCX10 ii. I'm now using this horn on both of my crawlers.
It actually looks a lot better than I thought. I bought it for functionality for my JQ Products THE Car RTR after the plastic servo horn kept stripping. Aluminum is very good for this application. Plastic servo horns are really only acceptable with the design that TLR, and other, kits use where the plastic horn goes over a metal 25T spline nut that then goes over your servo. Excellent value and quality. The dual screw clamp design is what you want!
Most of the 14 reviewers rate this black aluminum clamping servo horn highly, praising its strength, machining, low profile, and dual-screw clamp design across several RC platforms including crawlers, buggies, and trucks. Reviewers note fit depends on servo and chassis: one reports it fits some servos but not others, and two report steering-geometry clearance problems on specific kits. One reviewer reported a horn in a 25T-labelled bag that appeared to be 24T, which the seller refunded. One reviewer reported a clamp screw stripping after a race despite thread-locker use, and another found the horn too strong to be a concern but stripped plastic horns were the reason they bought it. Most negative comments relate to fitment or ordering errors rather than the horn itself.
- + Strong, sturdy aluminum construction
- + Low profile and good machining
- + Dual screw clamp design
- + Good value for quality
- − Fitment varies by servo and chassis
- − Clamp screw stripped in one report
- − Possible spline mislabelling in one bag
- − Steering clearance issues on some kits
