About this part

These ProTek R/C Aluminum Servo Grommets are a stronger alternative to traditional rubber grommets, a smart idea over using no grommets, and do an excellent job at completely locking the servo in place.

Traditional rubber grommets do a great job at absorbing slight vibrations and prolonging the life of older, previous generation servos. With current generation of servos being stronger and more powerful, the role of the rubber grommet isn't needed, as evident with the servo saver going extinct in 1/10 scale.

Many people choose to use no grommets on the servo but this comes at the risk of the servo moving around. Without any grommets filling up the dead space in the servo ears, sometimes under certain conditions or impacts, the servo can slightly shift. For a steering servo this can mean losing your center trim and with a throttle servo this can cause frustrating issues with your idle and brakes.

NOTE: These servo grommets use a 4.40mm shoulder to press into the servo ears. Please measure your servo ears to verify fitment.

Fits well on my B6.2 and T6.2 with Savox servos, but like the kit hardware, the screws are too long if you're not using any servo spacers - had to chop ~4-5mm off each screw to prevent them from hitting the mounting blocks in the chassis. An option for a shorter set of screws would be great for these kits.

This grommet provides a more secure function for servo mounting. Especially in my RC8B4. Also aesthetically pleasing to the eyes.

These will not thread into the Jconcepts aluminum servo mounts.

These fit perfectly in the mounting tabs of my Protek 155T servo. This servo has aluminum mounting tabs so if the grommets don't fit perfect, it's pretty obvious. Very happy with them. The screws could be a bit longer I think, but a regular socket head cap screw fits as well so fitting longer screws is easy.

Great product I have a set for several monster trucks, 1/8 buggy and a crawler. I like how these line up my servo and keep servo secure to mounting location. Included screws worked with all my different servo mounts great.

What reviewers say

Reviewers generally rate the blue aluminum servo grommets well, with several praising a secure servo fit and the look of the anodised finish. Fit is the main point of disagreement: some owners report a good fit on Savox, ProTek 155T and Turnigy servos, while others found the grommets do not fit MKS servos, Jconcepts aluminum mounts, or the B7.4 chassis, where one grommet rubbed against a brace. The included screws drew mixed comments, with one owner finding them too long without spacers and another finding them suitable across mounts. Reviewers note that the grommets are not universal across servo and chassis combinations.

  • + Secure servo mounting
  • + Fits well on many servos
  • + Attractive appearance
  • + Included screws work for many setups
  • − Not universal across servos
  • − Does not fit some mounts
  • − Included screws can be too long
  • − Grommet may rub chassis brace
