The bits are really nice with this set, however I'm leaving 3 stars because the magnet that holds them in came out after three days of use, very unfortunate. 4 Months Later... The Tips have worn out and round anything I try to work on.
Wow.. As mentioned earlier by two of the other reviewer's, the little magnet that holds the bits in place fell out of the handle within two minutes of me inspecting this tool. I didn't even get a chance to wrench on my new kit with it! Very disappointed to say the least. Now I'll have to spend More money to find a way to use these drives. On a brighter note, the drives do look very nice, well machined, good quality. At $35 this wasn't exactly a cheap purchase, as I'm trying to buy nicer tools for my buggy, but I guess I should have spent the extra $5 for the Team Associated version of this tool. Probably a much more reliable purchase. Bad on me. Funny thing is, I went with the ProTek product because they get great reviews and I was trying to support Amain Hobbies. Oh well.. Hopefully someone at Amain or ProTek reads these posts and can do something to address this problem. Supposed industry standard tools falling apart in less than 5 minutes is not cool. 1 star..
They seem nice, but I've rounded the 2mm allen tool within the first 2 days of use. I am back to using my cheap Amazon tools to do the job and they haven't rounded yet after months of use
Handy lil tool and attachments for a one stop shop on the bench. Hit those wheel nuts or chassis screws. This lil tool does it all. Very happy with this purchase.
good set. A little little for my liking and a little on the salty side for price. But they seem to hold their tip/shape so i’m pleased with them so far….! But wouldn’t buy them again.
Reviewers consistently praise the bit machining, compact size and portability, and the convenience of using the bits in a 1/4" powered driver. The most frequently reported problem is the magnet that holds bits in the handle detaching, reported by several owners within days or minutes of first use, with one reporting the handle breaking when reinserted. Several reviewers also report tip rounding, especially on the 2mm hex, though others report tips holding shape after months of use. Fit of the 2mm hex was described as looser than other sizes by one reviewer. Opinions on value vary, with some calling it good for the price and others finding it expensive for what is included. Reviewers note the handle is slick and small and that bit storage is limited. One reviewer reported no magnet problems.
