ProTek RC Universal Radio Case w/Foam Insert (Pick & Pluck)
About this part
This is the ProTek R/C Universal Radio Case, with an included Foam Insert. Everybody loves getting a new radio system. What everyone would love to avoid is the additional cost of a new radio case to protect that fancy new radio. So the minds behind ProTek R/C have developed an all in one solution that will allow you to use a single radio case to protect your current transmitter, with the flexibility to protect the transmitters you buy in the future!
The case itself features a tough aluminum shell, with reinforced corners, locking latches and a high density foam lined interior, all in an effort to withstand the potential punishment and abuse that occurs during transportation. But what makes this case unique is the replaceable high density foam inserts that allow the case to accommodate a variety of transmitters on the market! This includes Airtronics, Spektrum, KO Propo, Futaba and JR! Simply purchase the foam insert that fits your transmitter, and use the same case over and over.
ProTek R/C has developed another unique and incredibly flexible product that will keep your gear safe, and has the potential to be one of the best storage investments you can make.

The reviewer that said the wheel goes down needs to simply pull out the foam insert and flip it. The radio will sit wheel up and be protected from all sides. I've owned multiple protek radio cases over the years and every one of them has protected my radios perfectly. Highly recommend these cases with the inserts.
Amazing cases for the cost and super durable. I highly recommend these cases. I am using mine for the Paladin 18EV with the OEM foam protector and fits perfectly.
This is an essential. Cannot face the possibility of an accident happening without proper protection of my transmitter during travel.
I love this case for my radio controller, it's very sturdy.
The foam inside doesn't seem to be cut to handle all the positions of the adjustable drop. Also, my case wobbles a bunch on flat surfaces, it's not actually flat. I went to the track yesterday though and stuffed it full of tools, spare clips, battery checker, and four batteries. A very nice way to carry a lot of essentials.
Reviewers generally rate the ProTek universal radio case highly, praising its sturdiness, durability and value, and noting good fits for several radios including Futaba, Sanwa, Spektrum and Paladin models. Several reviews mention the foam insert as protective, and one notes the case works well for carrying tools and batteries. Criticism is limited to a small number of reviews. One reviewer reports the foam does not fully accommodate all positions of an adjustable drop. Another reports the case sits unevenly on flat surfaces. A recurring concern, raised by one reviewer, is that the wheel can rest face down with no padding, which could leave the potentiometer exposed to damage. A reviewer responding to that point notes the insert can be flipped so the radio sits wheel up. Variant mentions include Futaba 4PV/4PX, Sanwa MT-44/MT-5, and Spektrum DX6R/DX5R foam options.
- + Sturdy, durable build
- + Good value for the cost

- + Protects radio during travel
- − Wheel can rest face down without padding
- − Foam may not suit all adjustable drop positions
- − Case wobbles on flat surfaces
