I wish they would make one of these for 12th scale car bodies. I bought this 10th scale one and modified it by cutting and sanding and drilling a new screw hole. So it can be made to work with 12th scale if you're careful!
Great customer service. Answered emails quick and fixed very small issue immediately. Arc cutter is well made and will likely last for a long time.
This doesn't seem to hold the blade securely enough, and it broke on the second body I tried to cut out (note this was with a brand new blade). This probably isn't worth the money. I had high hopes, however was let down.
While I do t think it’s 3d printed, it is lazer cut acrylic. It looks nice. It has no instructions. There is a video on YouTube but still not that great. Tightening the blade down can be fiddly as it shifts as you tighten it. Once secured there was some trial and error (no instructions, remember?) on setting the blade length. I found that having the blade out about 1-2mm was sufficient. I started by lightly securing the center nut. Make a pass or two, then tighten it by a turn and repeat. Do this until you have a good line scribed. The. The part can be snapped out. The results are good. I’ve never had wheel arches look this good, lol. -1 star for price and blade attachment.
3D printed junk that the manufacturing company needs you to know they are from and it’s made in Singapore.
Reviewers are divided on this 1/10 arc cutter. Several report clean wheel-arch cuts once the blade depth is set, typically about 1-2mm with light, incremental tightening. Others report that the blade holder is hard to secure and that a holder broke under light tightening or during cutting, including with a new blade. Reviewers also note the absence of printed instructions. Material is disputed: one reviewer describes laser-cut acrylic, while others describe the part as 3D printed. Opinions on value for money are mostly negative. One reviewer praised the manufacturer's customer service and another modified the tool to work with 12th scale bodies.
