RaceTek Kensun Satellite 2.4GHz Receiver w/Binding Button (Compatible with DSM2, DSMX & Lemon RX)
About this part
The Kensun Satellite Remote Receiver features a binding button which is critical for small aircraft that are unable to deliver a binding signal from various flight controllers. Because of this, it is a simple choice for a DSM2 or DSMX radio. In addition to DSM2 and DSMX compatibility, this will also work with Lemon RX DSMX based receivers.

Do not buy!! Mine lasted about 3 weeks and now I can’t get it to bind to my DX9 again after loosing its bind……
Works well w/ Goosky S1 helicopter w/ Spektrum DX6E. The major issue w/ this unit is that there isn't any strain relief for the [3] connection wires-- each is merely tap soldered to the PCB, so when making the 3-pin cable connection to the controller board, the upward tension w/o strain relief is a concern. I added hot glue to the area in an effort to increase the strength of the connection(s). Well, after a few months of flying, one of the connections did manage to loosen itself a bit, causing intermittent in-flight control issues, which ultimately, resulted in a crash. On inspection, the top (orange) wire had a little less solder (from the factory), which probably contributed to the failure. I managed to re-solder the connection, after removing some of the clear factory heat-shrink to do so. I then added a healthy amount of mini glue gun to the area, for strain relief-- so hopefully the fix holds. This receiver would be perfect if it just had a 3-pin header connector (female) soldered to the PCB w/ a male -> male 3-wire cable running to the flight controller. **NOTE: a clothes pin / small spring clamp works well to hold the bind button down when pairing because it must be depressed [simultaneously] when the battery to the heli is plugged in**
Well the first one was a dud, Amain was quick to issue a refund. Great customer service as usual. I have a second one on the way we will see if this one works. Update, well it’s a week later received my second receiver. This one bound up right away first few flights were good, then it cut out mid flight while I watch the helicopter plummet to the ground. Now I’m shopping for parts. Needless to say I won’t be buying another one. Should have just gotten the spektrum receiver to begin with which is what I will do now.
To Bind the KENSUN receiver you must push the receiver bind button Then power up the receiver. If done correctly the receiver will be flashing until bound then the light will remain on And now it is bound.
Great little receiver for Spektrum users. Includes a bind button which makes life so easy when binding to the radio without a need for another receiver and bind plug etc... Cheap too!
Reviewers are divided on this Spektrum-compatible satellite receiver. Several praise its small size, built-in bind button, low price and good range, and report that it binds easily and works well with Spektrum transmitters and micro helicopters. Others report reliability problems: units losing bind, disconnecting immediately after binding, or cutting out in flight. A recurring criticism is the lack of strain relief on the wires, which are tap-soldered to the board; one reviewer reported a loosened connection that contributed to a crash. Two reviewers said they had received a replacement or refund after a faulty unit. Some reviewers say the failure rate is inconsistent between units, and one reviewer described the PCB quality as low.
