Great PWM ELRS receiver! Pairs wonderful with my TX16S MK3 and with telemetry I get piece of mind while flying my EDF's and performance planes! Range and quality is SUPERB!
Great reciever, no issues, works great. Has ports for other sensors.
Amazing receiver! Really, really advanced. I was having range issues on my Arrma Limitless while doing speed runs, so I purchased a RadioMaster Nano and attached it to my existing 4-in-1 RadioMaster MT12. Then I set up the functions I needed on the radio, and I also configured the receiver in the Web UI, which was super easy. The range is extraordinary on just 500mW, and there's no way I'll ever need the full watt. When armed, the ELRS TX module dynamically adjusts TX power to keep battery life good. The refresh rate is incredible. You can set your chosen channels up to 400Hz, but to keep it latency free I'd recommend only doing it for steering and maybe throttle. The built in telemetry is nice to have, but it's not the fastest or most precise. I believe it only supports 8s input however, so you won't be able to have battery telemetry on 12s unless you use some resistors and calibration. Note: ELRS was originally designed for FPV and other flying things, so some things don't really make sense for surface, such as the arming functions. However, the developers are actively improving the setup and making it more compatible with different types of RCs, and I fully expect many gripes to go away over the next few years.
Three reviews, all rating the RadioMaster ER8 ExpressLRS 2.4GHz 8-channel receiver five out of five. Reviewers praise its range and link quality, with one noting strong range at 500mW. Telemetry is valued by a reviewer flying EDF and performance planes, and another mentions extra ports for sensors. One reviewer used it with a RadioMaster Nano transmitter module on an Arrma Limitless after range problems, reporting the Web UI setup was easy and the high refresh rate is impressive, while advising caution with 400Hz on some channels to avoid latency. Reviews are short and positive, with no recurring problems reported. The sample is small, and the third review's text is cut off before its telemetry comments.
- + Strong range and link quality
- + Telemetry support
- + Easy Web UI configuration
- + High refresh rate
- − Higher channel rates can add latency
