About this part

High-Performance Gyro with Advanced Features

The RadioMaster Nexus-X Rotorflight Helicopter Gyro is a high-performance flight controller engineered specifically for Rotorflight 2.2, delivering elite-level control and advanced functionality for RC helicopter pilots.

About the Nexus-X

Versatile Compatibility

At the heart of the system is an STM32F722 MCU paired with an ICM42688P 6-axis gyroscope/accelerometer, offering ultra-precise flight dynamics and responsiveness. With 256MB of onboard flash memory, it allows detailed flight logging for post-flight analysis and tuning. Multiple UART ports offer broad compatibility with popular receiver protocols, including CRSF, ELRS, and S.BUS. The plug-and-play RP3-H ExpressLRS connector simplifies setup, eliminating the need for soldering in modern builds. The inclusion of additional PWM channels further supports complex helicopter configurations and control surface arrangements.

Durability and Performance

Built for both durability and performance, the Nexus-X features a CNC-machined aluminum case that not only protects the electronics but also acts as a heat sink to keep the system cool under load. It supports a wide voltage range (5V–16V) and even 12V servos, offering exceptional flexibility in high-voltage builds. A refined BEC system provides stable power delivery and isolated voltage rails for the gyro, MCU, and interfaces, reduces electrical noise and interference.

Compact Convenience

Convenience is also a priority, with a USB-C extender allowing easy access in tight builds. With a compact, lightweight design and built-in Rotorflight Rescue for safety, the Nexus-X is a premium solution tailored to serious heli pilots looking for ultimate control, reliability, and ease of integration—all customizable with multiple color options to match your setup.

Ben Jon RadioMaster Nexus-X Rotorflight Helicopter Gyro (Grey)

Great FC from Radiomaster, solid unit! Using in fixed wings (no helis yet). Easy to connect peripherals with no soldering. Great tutorials from Painless360 to convert to INAV from Rotorflight. Engineering degree not required but does take some time to setup to for full functionality. Has SBus input for non ELRS receivers (incl frsky, spektrum, flysky, etc)

The price is very attractive and that is why I ordered one of these. Unfortunately, you have to be an engineer in order to set it up. There is very little to no instructions available for setting this up with Spektrum. You get a bunch of pigtails with no guidance on what to do with them. I will be returning it.
