Motor started smoking in less than an hour of driving. I cleaned it with electrical cleaner and took it out again and soon after it was dead. I had the RC4WD 45T motor before this one and it lasted a couple months before dying. Driving conditions were rain, snow and some sand. Not ideal for brushed motors, but I'd still expect them to last a little longer.
Got this a an upgrade over the stock 35t axial motor. overall great improvement. id also recommend the rc4wd 35t boost motor as well..havent had any issues with it yet. i run a 2s lipo
a huge upgrade in performance than the stock 27t on the axial scx10.
Reviewers are divided on the RC4WD 540 Crawler Brushed Motor (35T). Two reviewers rate it 5/5 and report a clear performance improvement over stock Axial motors, one of whom runs it on a 2S LiPo without issues. One reviewer rated it 2/5, reporting the motor smoked and failed within about an hour of driving in rain, snow and sand, and a previous 45T motor from the same brand lasted only a couple of months. Reviews are few and the failure report involves harsh conditions that the reviewer acknowledged are not ideal for brushed motors.
