I’m building a scale version of my full sized Jeep. I run 35” MT/Rs and I have to say, these scaled tires do not disappoint. The detail is incredible! They are identical to the full size tires. And the traction is unbelievable even when wet. The only two minor issues preventing me from a five star review were the foams that came with them being too hard and a web of extra rubber from the mounding process. I used much softer foams which gives these tires a rounder, more realistic, appearance to a tire aired down to 10 psi. A few minutes with a hobby knife took care of the excess rubber.
a very scale tire. It looks very real. Rc4wd has greatly improved the rubber compound of its tires. The sidewall is somewhat thin but I haven't had any problems with it. I would buy it again. They grip well but I think they are more for trail use than for competitive rock crawling. Mounted with green Injora silicone inserts on an 8lb TRX4
Excellent tires. I have these on my TRX4 Sport and for the crawling I do (not a comp guy) they work great. I'm not not a super scale details guy but I do like licensed tires for the scale realism aspect. These are spot on in that genre, my opinion.
Three reviewers, all rating the tires 4 or 5 out of 5, praise their realistic scale appearance and good grip, including on wet terrain. Reviewers describe the rubber compound as improved and note they suit trail crawling more than competitive rock crawling. One reviewer reports the foam inserts supplied were too hard and replaced them with softer foam, and that excess mounting rubber had to be trimmed. One reviewer notes the sidewalls are somewhat thin but reports no problems so far. Reviews mention TRX4 builds, and one notes use with silicone inserts. Sample size is small.
