Awesome tires, but insert foam is a little bit to hard. Need to buy softer inserts.
They are just brilliant! Snow, mud, dust — nevermind.
Bought these over a year ago. Put some proline 2 stage foams in them. They worked okay, but not really that well to be honest. I don’t write many reviews but I felt like I had to with this one. When this tire is matched with a different foam/insert it really brings out the life of the tire. I decided to put some injora green inserts in. Might switch to blue when it warms up though. Almost a 8lb truck. These tires totally changed it for the better. And honestly think they are better than a hyrax for the terrain I’m running it on.
I have not found anything that outperforms these tires! People need to get over the RC4WD name and give these a try. The X2 SS compound is soft and sticky and the stepped lugs grip just about any surface. They excel on jagged rocks but are equally at home on larger, smoother rocks and nothing is better in the snow and mud. They also make a great trail tire and roots and ruts are easy to tackle. Rigs with the PL Krawler and Hyrax tires struggle to keep up with my rig. Only tire I see that can hang with these is the Rover/Ruptures but they are not a scale tire. Really, nothing bad to say (except maybe I wish they offered a larger size than 4.65?), these are my go to tires!
