RC4WD finally nailed it with these tires, not only are they extremely true to scale but also perform in all types of terrain the included foams are a bit stiff but easily remedied by installing your go-to foams
I Could never give these tires as a whole more than 3 stars, the foams that are included are not at all satisfactory, they are complete garbage, brittle garbage. THEY DON'T BEND AT ALL. One of the foams literally snapped like Styrofoam would... probably not buying anything RC4WD anymore.
Easiest tire I've ever mounted on a beadlock. Foams are very firm, no side roll of the tire even on off camber down hill turns when all the weight is on the outside front tire. I wheel in Florida and the traction was amazing in the sand and limestone and this was the first time out so the tires aren't even really broken in. Traction was so good the Hyrax crowd was asking "what the heck are those things?" Over all very pleased with these tires.
I have these mounted on the plastic Incision KMC Machete with the provided foams and bolted to box stock Redcat Gen8 Axe edition. The tires are molded in a perfectly sticky compound. With the provided foams, side roll is very controllable and predictable. For surfaces with the tiny bit of ridges or grit they grab extremely well. They also work really well in mud for their tight pattern and center linear pattern. I did test them on slate that was completely covered in algae and they do slip. However, once you get some good wheel speed it melts/slings the slime off and the sticky compound mixed with the siped lugs it still manages to keep forward progression. Bottom line I was very pleased and impressed. As the other reviewer mentioned these are really easy to mount on bead-lock wheels. When these wear out I will purchase another set. For those who like aesthetics these look really good on frames and body styles that may be closer to 1/9th scale. I would recommend these tires if all I have mentioned ticks the boxes you are looking for.
I have these tires mounted on a set of aluminum beadlock wheels and installed in my SCX10III Gladiator. I can’t remember how the stock foams were new, other reviews say they are very stiff. After a moderate amount of wheeling, these foams break down quickly and get too soft. The tire quality is very good though. I have had them on rocks, roots, wet, dry, dirt. They seem to do well in any terrain. Be prepared to purchase a better set of foams right off the bat to get the most out of them. These would get 5 stars with better foams.
Reviewers broadly praise the tires' scale detail, traction on rock, dry dirt, sand and mud, and ease of mounting on beadlock wheels. The included foams are the main point of disagreement and recurring complaint: several describe them as very stiff or brittle, with one reporting a foam snapped, while others find the stiffness acceptable or note they soften quickly after moderate use. Reviewers commonly say they plan to replace the foams with aftermarket options. One reviewer noted slippage on algae-covered slate, though grip improved with wheel speed. Reviews do not specify a single rig for all, and mentions include several scale platforms.
