Careful with these. Quality and look are great. Body protection is great. I had these on a TRX4 Mercedes. They are too heavy for any serious rock crawling. Side hilling is greatly compromised as the heavy weight literally drags or flips the crawler down any steep incline. Raised stock TRX4 sport sliders are much better like the vlogs guy in NY did.
Rc Review was completely right! These sliders are perfect to complete the look and performance. They are way more slippery and way more sleek than the stock plastic ones. The weight also sits it about an 1/8” lower which is perfect for my style. That’s with 20 wt oil and an axial Cherokee body btw, probably wouldn’t affect a stock body and oil weight.
these work great for my style of driving very scale detail perfect fit on my 78 bronco body
These fit great and like a glove for those of you who are building the TRX4 Assembly Kit. I recommend these minimal design sliders. Great quality and product from RC4WD.
Installed these on my heavily modified TRX4 Defender as replacements for a different set of RC4wd skids that looked cool but were poor quality. These have been going strong for over 2 years now and both look good and function really well. One of the few parts from the manufacturer that I would buy again.
Reviewers generally rate these steel welded side sliders highly for fit, appearance and durability, with several owners reporting long-term use without problems. Praise centres on body protection, a sleek look and a close fit on TRX-4 builds, including a Bronco body. One reviewer, however, found the steel weight significantly hurt side-hilling and caused the crawler to drag or tip on steep inclines, preferring lighter stock sliders. Another noted the sliders sit slightly lower, which suited their setup. The disagreement appears to centre on weight and suitability for serious rock crawling rather than build quality.
