Just finished swapping my RC car from Deans Ultra to the D5 plugs. These are great connectors - very easy to solder, very sturdy design, polarity cannot be reversed, solid connection, and 120 A continuous current rating. They are a bit more expensive, but they are well worth it.

I've used these before without a problem but just recently opened a pack I bought at the end of February 23 and couldn't get clips to come together and was thinking it was me. Upon ordering another set I found that the grey connector was molded incorrectly and parts from new set work as they should. Just be aware.

They do assemble rather easily but watch your polarities. These things are beefy and bulky. They are HARD to pull apart especially while the battery is in the car. I will not be using these due to that fact (think about when your battery is about to pop) however they are robust and do look and feel high quality. 2.5 stars

I thought the EC5 connectors were hard to unplug. After a try with some D5 connectors result they are harder if not impossible to pull apart. Unlike the D4 connectors work well.

What reviewers say

Four reviews of the RCPROPLUS Pro-D5 Supra X Battery Connector (8 Pair, 10~12AWG). Reviewers agree the connectors feel sturdy and high quality, with one describing a solid connection and a 120 A continuous rating. Opinions diverge on ease of separation: one reviewer found them very easy to solder and hard to reverse in polarity, while others found them very hard to pull apart, one stating they would not use them in a car because of this. One reviewer reported that a batch with a grey connector was molded incorrectly and would not clip together, while a replacement set worked. One reviewer noted that polarity should be watched during assembly. The reviews are few and mixed, so the overall picture is limited.
