Redcat Everest Gen7 PRO 1/10 4WD RTR Scale Rock Crawler w/2.4GHz Radio (Black)
About this part
The Redcat Racing Everest Gen7 PRO 1/10 Scale RTR Scale Rock Crawler is going to shake things up the crawler world. With a host of included features that are normally reserved for aftermarket upgrades, the Gen7 PRO is potentially the most capable out of the box scaler on the market. This is thanks to a 3mm ladder frame chassis that was designed and tuned by BPC Custom Chassis and Two Guys Trail Gear. By combining this custom chassis with a steel electronics bridge and a low slung forward mounted battery tray, the Gen7 PRO provides a tune-able platform that has the high performance bells and whistles you would normally have to pay extra for.
The Gen7 PRO features a first of its kind, hinged body mount system that eliminates body clips in the hood - while the rear of the body hinges off the back of the truck making access to the chassis easy. Additionally, the Gen 7 PRO includes a molded roll cage, inner fenders and a roof rack loaded with scale accessories like a spare tire, jack, fuel cans, shovel, axe and sand ladder. Finish off the look with a molded snorkel and detailed shackle mount bumpers with a hitch ball and LED mounts, and the Gen7 PRO delivers in both performance and scale looks.
Combine these awesome features with a Hobbywing Brushed ESC, Licensed Interco Super Swamper tires, real beadlock wheels, CVD front axles and the Gen7 sets itself apart from the rest with its features and performance. The aggressively styled 4 door SUV body is available in green or black, and the included black, white, red and wood grain die cut decals will allow you to detail the truck the way you want. Plus, the included 3000mAh NiMH battery, charger and 2CE 2.4GHz radio system are included as well to make the Gen7 and unmatched value in the scale crawler market.

Great product for a budget crawler this is it! Very nice features no hassle body hinges and easy battery access. I love this vehical its powerful fully locked 4x4 differentials...rock solid motor and transmission and steering is somewhat limited stock. If you move the steering linkage farther out on the servo horn it does better. This is a very affordable quality product from redcat.awesome!
I bought this straight from Redcraps website and what Splash Jordan said in his review is 100% correct, i had the same exact problems, out of the box with 3 leaking shocks, crap turn radius, loud electronics, crap endpoint adjustments, not to mention it top heavy asf , also bought the portal upgrade and again Splash Jordan nailed it, linkage did not work/fit, i had to jerry rig it to make it work and in the end i ended up taking the portals out and put the stocks back in and ended up selling it and losing money on it, never again will i purchase a Redcrap, 500/100 would NOT recommend
Was having a hard time deciding on my 1/10 rc and decided the gen7 pro was the right choice. This thing comes packed with everything you need. No problems yet. Enough power to get up and go. Drove around yard with tree roots for 20+ mins no problems and nothing broken.
The plastic steering arm broke in a day of driving it in the grass .
I'm new to the RC world and started with the Gen7 Pro. I have a 6 year old son so i wanted something slow and though enough for him, and fun for us both. This checks all the boxes. It's been sunk, covered in mud, crashed, dropped, and rolled for a couple of weeks now and the only failure was the front drive shaft. 25 bucks and a few minutes installing and they are back at it. Would highly recommend.
Reviewers are divided on the Redcat Everest Gen7 PRO 1/10 4WD RTR rock crawler. Most praise its value at this price, its metal parts, locked differentials, power and crawling ability, and several report it surviving mud, water and rough use with no breakage. Steering radius is widely described as limited stock, with some owners improving it via a longer servo horn or linkage position. Negative reviews report early failures of plastic parts, especially the driveshaft, rear axle shaft, steering arm and spur gear, along with leaking shocks and top-heavy handling in one case. Some low-rated reviews also mention difficulty sourcing replacement parts. One reviewer notes the newer version includes upgraded steering knuckles.
