Reedy 540-SL4 Sensorless 4-Pole Brushless Motor (3300kV)
About this part
The 3300kV rating provides plenty of speed with 2S LiPo batteries. But install a 3S LiPo battery for insane speeds that are barely controllable! A high-strength rotor provides plenty of torque and resists overheating better than 2-pole alternatives.
Flexible silicone wires ease wire routing in tight spaces and work in conjunction with 3.5mm bullet connectors to reduce power-robbing resistance and heat. Triple insulated windings, a hardened steel shaft, and oversized ball bearings enhance reliability to keep you out of the pits and on the track.

A great motor for the price! Lots of torque, on 3s this little guy is very powerful and surprisingly fast too. On 2s you have lots of torque but very little top end. Not for all applications, but just great for backyard running on rough stuff in the mid 20s. Has been durable and trouble free. Bought on a whim, would buy again.
Awesome motor. Used in a hill climber build 4ws. With 120amp esc.
Stout little motor! We have this fitted our stampede 2wd basher running on 7 cell nimh. We were able to gear it 19/90 running stock tires and the temps are between 120 and 130. Even pushing it in grass the temps only start to rise to the 130 mark! We had to gear the Titan 14/90 to keep the temps in check doing the same kind of driving/bashing which had a top speed of 23 to 24 miles per hour. With the above gearing the truck is hitting about 28-30 miles an hour which is enough speed for our needs without overpowering the truck and breaking parts all the time. And you can wheelie on comand even going down the street at over half throttle! Not much faster than the stock Titan 12t motor but its an absolute torque monster compared the brushed motor Great cost effective upgrade for a stock brushed RTR! Feels alot quicker to drive and can hit bigger jumps with less run up due to is ballistic acceleration!
Three five-star reviews describe the Reedy 540-SL4 3300kV sensorless motor as strong and durable for its price. Reviewers report good torque and speed on 3S, with one noting little top end on 2S. One reviewer used it in a 4WS hill climber with a 120A ESC, and another in a 2WD Stampede basher on 7-cell NiMH, geared 19/90 with temperatures of roughly 120–130°F reported in the review. That reviewer found it only modestly faster than a stock Titan 12T motor. Sample size is small and the reviews come from different applications, so comparisons are limited.
- + Strong torque
- + Good price for performance
- + Durable and trouble free
- + Moderate temperatures at reported gearing
- − Little top end on 2S
- − Only modestly faster than stock Titan 12T in one test
- − Limited to a small number of reviews
