Great servo, perfect for the SCX6 steering. Easy to install and plenty of torque.
Great servo that’s just like (same specs as) ones that look similar and are $100+ cheaper. So, I’m thinking one place just white labels these for everyone. That said, this servo is a powerhouse and works really well so far. I’ve just installed it and it’s truly the beast it’s branded as.
I purchased for my Scx6 Honcho. I also purchased a Castle BEC to go with it so I can use 8v to power it. Its got lots of power and torque. THere is just no comparison between this servo and the stock SCX6 servo. I got the 1000 over the 2000 because IMHO I thought the 2000 was just overkill for the SCX6. Plus it is cheaper than the 2000. I have lots of runs on it now, (too many to count) and the 1000 is still as strong as the day I bought it.
Three verified owners rate the Reefs RC Beast 1000 High Voltage servo 4 to 5 out of 5. Reviewers report strong torque and power, easy installation, and good durability over many runs, with one describing it as suitable for an SCX6 steering setup. One owner pairs it with a BEC to run at 8V and says it is still as strong after extensive use. One reviewer suggests the design resembles lower-priced servos with identical specifications, though this is an opinion rather than a verified claim. No recurring problems are reported. The reviews are few in number and mostly short.
- + Strong torque and power
- + Easy to install
- + Durable after many runs
