RotorTech blades are finely crafted premium carbon fiber rotor blades from Fun-Key Aeroplane Models. RotorTech blades are designed to be an all around powerful, efficient, well rounded performance oriented blade that will suite a large majority of flight styles from simple aerobatics, F3C, and extreme 3D flight. Additionally, RotorTech blades utilize a minimal amount of paint within the mold, while still providing excellent flight visibility. By using less weight on all of their blades, weight is saved on each set which offers a small boost in performance.
Luminous Main Blades
Luminous Main Blades are offered in two versions; Standard and Aurora. Standard Blades utilize LED's which do not change color in flight. Aurora main blades are unique in that LEDs will change colors in flight automatically.Lastly, RotorTech Luminous Main Blades do not include batteries, or charger, and are required to be purchased separately in order to complete the package:

These blades handle pretty good and they look great in the air. There are 9 LEDs on each blade. There are 3 leds in the tip of each blade that glow red. The inside LEDs closest to the heli glow yellow and they only shine downward towards the heli. There are 5 more LEDs on each blade spread out between the red and yellow LEDs that change colors automatically. You can see all the LEDs from the top or bottom except for the inside yellow ones, they only shine on the bottom side of the blades.
Looks very cool in the air both night and daytime flying and drew a crowd to me. Running on a TREX 700 gasser with OS GT15HZ. I trimmed the aluminum washers that came with it to use as a spacer for the battery pack so it can fly in daytime without running down the packs down.
As of August 13, 2024 (23 days after my order), I have not yet received the RotorTech 710mm "Aurora" Luminous. At the carrier APC postal logistic, the package made a quick stop of approximately 8 days : "Your order is making a quick stop and will resume transit shortly". I will be able to give an opinion only when I have received the blades and the tests have been done. I should receive the package tomorrow August 14, 2024.
Two reviewers who flew the blades praise their appearance at night and in daylight, noting the LEDs are visible from above and below except the inner yellow lights, which only shine downward. One reports the blades draw attention and were used on a Trex 700 with an OS GT15HZ engine, with a trimmed washer used as a battery spacer. A third reviewer had not received the product after 23 days because of a shipping delay and has not yet assessed performance. Overall feedback on flight handling is limited to one brief comment.
