RPM eliminated the stock bumper and replaced it with a hinge pin retainer, since realistically, that's all the stock bumper really is. Next, they eliminated the stock skid plate in favor of a wider, longer and more protective skid. Lastly, they bolted a unique bumper to the front of the skid plate. The RPM Front Bumper and Skid Plate for the Traxxas Sledge sits below the body, which allows the body mounting system full range of motion, yet the Sledge finally has some tough, RPM front end protection.
Each RPM front bumper and skid plate is molded in black from RPM's exclusive blend of engineering grade nylons for unmatched strength and durability. All RPM molded products are made in the USA and backed by their limited lifetime warranty against breakage. Package includes one skid plate, one bumper with bracket and mounting hardware.
NOTES: The RPM Front Bumper and Skid Plate is designed specifically for the Traxxas Sledge and replaces the bumper and skid plate from stock Traxxas (TRA9535).

This is just what my Sledge needed to keep the front end from breaking from hard hits from jumps or curbs because without this bumper costs me a new chassis, shock caps, and steering components thank goodness for Amain Hobbies

Originally it bent up so I had to trim the body to get it off. Now it's bent down turning my truck into a bulldozer. It sticks straight out so doesn't work well as a skid plate either. Because of how Traxxas mounts the body there really isn't a good solution for this problem.
