About this part

They’re here! RPM A-arms for the Traxxas Slash 4x4 are everything you’ve come to expect from RPM and more!

Features:

They eliminated the slop in the suspension system, tightening the tolerances around the hinge pins, reduced the fore and aft movement of the A-arms at both the inner hinge pin and at the axle carriers by better than 90% and improved the durability dramatically (they’re made by RPM, enough said). As a bonus, they cut 6.5 grams of weight off of each A-arm! That’s a total loss of just under one ounce of weight simply by replacing your stock A-arms with the RPM versions!

We can’t forget about how much better aesthetically the RPM versions look either. RPM A-arms carry over the RPM traditional look with our 30 degree leading and trailing edges, and huge bosses for the shock and sway bar mounts. Additionally, you now have the option of a bit of color with either blue or black to choose from.

RPM A-arms are molded in RPM trademark blend of incredibly durable nylons and are backed by an industry leading warranty. We proudly stand behind our products! Designed, manufactured and produced right here in southern California in the USA!

Notes:
RPM A-arms for the Traxxas Slash are sold in sets of 1 – left and 1 – right A-arm in each package. Two packages will be needed to complete one truck. The upper hinge pin hole of the rear axle carriers cannot be used (not a stock location for the Slash 4x4) due to strengthening designs that reduce the clearance around the rear axle.

Thomas Engelon RPM Front or Rear A-arms for Traxxas Slash/Stampede 4x4

look great, extremely durable now the downside the rear arms outer support bars rub on the u-joints on my slash 4x4s axles. This problem was solved with a dremel and a sanding drum ,Should this be necessary? Also after a short time they warped pretty badly,Im told boiling them in water can fix this?. again who needs that hassle!!! RPM I love your stuff! What happened here?.

The rear ones lasted me 3 months of big air ramping before they tore off of my truck. That's 2 1/2 months longer than anything else last on my Slash. Traxxas heavy duty cold resistant arms only last me 1-2 battery packs. I'm very happy with the RPM arms and recommend them.

I'm leaving a 3-star review because I've beat the shit out of these suspension arms. They worked well for approximately 6 months, or thereabouts. I loved them at first and who are we kidding, they make the Slash 4x4 look amazing! I've gone with a blue and orange color scheme on both of my race-worthy Slash's and have received more compliments than you could imagine. In the beginning, they seemed bomb-proof, but in time, they started to warp. This causes the hinge pins to blow out more often and if you're a long-time RC enthusiast and/or racer, of which I'm proud to say I'm both then you already know that this is one of the biggest issues with the Slash 4x4s. They blow out constantly, and the RPM suspension arms exacerbate the issue, I assure you. The "Heavy Duty" suspension arms from Traxxas hold up WAY longer and you still have multiple choices for color schemes. I've broken the RPM ones several times, whereas the Traxxas version has been indestructible. One can tell by the manufacturing itself that the RPM arms are thinner and show obvious weak points that WILL present themselves down the road. They're a rad product, no doubt, but for the same price point, you can do better.

Two reviewers report warping over time, with one describing hinge pins blowing out as a result. Overall, reviewers mainly agree the arms are strong initially but may warp and fail under hard use.
