RPM Toe-In Gauge
About this part
This is a RPM Toe-In Gauge, and is intended for use with 1/10 and 1/8 on and off road vehicles. If you are a hobbyist that enjoys R/C vehicles or an all out R/C racer or anywhere in between, this tool is a must for your toolbox! This toe-in gauge allows you to do trackside checks of the toe angles without removing the wheels! This gauge checks toe through the simple method of comparing the width of the wheels at the rear of the tire to the width of the wheels at the front of the tire! This gauge is accurate to within one half of a degree per side and closer, and can also be used to check legal width of off-road buggies and trucks. The gauge comes with a second thumbscrew hole to check narrower vehicles such as sedans as well.

This is not a tool for someone who is looking for accuracy especially the on-road guys. I use it on my 1/10 scale off-road stuff and I have to fight with it every time because it slips or something else moves. It is also hard to see the lines that tells you how many degrees you are at. I have been contemplating trying to add some white-out or something to those lines to help me see them better. I have not priced the Hudy system but I would definitely recommend looking at something better before buying this system.
If you are running a high precision on road car this is not the best tool for perfect alignment, however if you are running off road and don't want to drag around a bunch of stuff this works very well for a check at the track, been using it for 15 years. put a touch of grease between the 2 rails so it slides easily and set the tension as you like.
Biggest piece of junk. Doesn't work. Waste of money.
I like it. Easy and quick to use. Good precision. You need that in your toolbox ! Read the instructions to know how to use it.
this is a waste of $$$. don't bother, save up for the hudy system.
Reviewers largely agree the RPM Toe-In Gauge is a budget tool suited to off-road and bashing use rather than precise on-road setup. Several praise its speed and convenience for checking toe at the track, and one reports readings matching a Hudy station. Recurring complaints include hard-to-read markings, slipping or shifting during use, and a learning curve. Other reviewers call it inaccurate or unusable and recommend the Hudy system or alternative gauges. Opinions are split, with ratings ranging from 1 to 5 stars. Some reviews mention a bit of grease between the rails to smooth sliding. One reviewer mentions a non-gauge alternative, a digital caliper, and another mentions an Arrowmax track width gauge; these are not tested in this product's reviews.
