Just got these for the first time and there is a band of epoxy inside the female plug where it shouldn't be. Looks like spill over from the glueing process. Same on both female plugs in bag. I confirmed it's giving an open circuit on my multimeter when inserting/forcing the male connector. Kind of a significant quality defect for an electrical connector...
