By far one of thee best transmitters on the market right Now. This controller can control a lot of variables. Everything is super easy to navigate and change around. I highly recommend it.

I'll be totally honest. They missed the mark on a few things. Battery, backlight, timer. Basic functions any arduino user could code. It's great for 99 usd. But I was expecting ... It's ok. I can't express it better then that. It's ok. Better then a rtr radio? YES. KO propo EX? no. I probably would have gone futaba in the 136 usd range as a starting radio if I could.

Ryan Keeon Sanwa/Airtronics MX-6 FH-E 3-Channel 2.4GHz Radio System

Real Solid Radio. First ever radio for me and I really enjoyed it as I learnt how to RC. A great starter radio system for newbies. Cheap but good quality radio. Only bummer is that the radio system suffers from a lot of interference in the background as the system gets wear and tear. When I got a new car, I used a 2 year old receiver, and within 10 minutes it got a random background signal, and crashed my car at full speed into a wall at 15m distance. Needless to say, it broke the whole front end off. My advice: Start here, but get rid of it or stop using it once you are comfortable with my expensive alternatives.

Awsome radio for a cheaper price! Upon first impression it feels on the cheaper side, and the battery tray isn’t that great but they do leave enough of a lead if you want to convert it over to lipo/lLiFe. The functionality is great, scrolling through the menu of prions is pretty easy to navigate. The adjustability is far better than an RTR transmitter, and gives you greater control over steering and throttle adjustability.

What reviewers say

Reviewers broadly describe the MX-6 FH-E as a good entry-level or upgrade radio for the price, praised for adjustability, menu navigation, responsiveness and easy binding. Several note a simple, sturdy feel but also a cheaper-feeling build, a rattling case, a stiff ESC connector and a large receiver that may not fit some electronics boxes. The main recurring problem is intermittent brownout or connection dropouts, reported by a minority of owners, some of whom experienced loss of control or a runaway. One reviewer traced their issue to a faulty servo, and another noted the transmitter stays powered when switching models. Some reviewers mention a battery tray that is weak and that the unit takes AA batteries. Reviews are mixed in the lower ratings and the number of long-term reports is limited.

  • + Good value for the price
  • + Easy menu navigation and adjustability
  • + Responsive and easy to bind
  • + Waterproof receiver
  • − Intermittent brownouts or connection dropouts
  • − Large receiver may not fit some boxes
  • − Cheap feel and rattling case
  • − Stays powered when switching models
