Excellent servo. Strong and fast. Lighter than it’s full size counterpart. Smaller size is great for some 10th scale cars. This servo fit perfect in my Tenno SCT.
I run savox in all my stuff. Trx4 and losi lmt get the most use. This low profile unit went in a light weight trx4 build. Cut chassis, minimal brass up front, small 1300mah 3s pack and 4 link SOA. This servo get HOT at 8.4v and I think it cutout a few times. Maybe the esc isn't providing enough amps. I believe its 5amps. Could be it. Turned it down to 7.4, still gets warmer than I'm used to but not nearly as hot. This is my first low profile servo so maybe my expectations were high.
Awesome Servo! This thing fits my TLR 22X-4 perfectly
Bought it for my axial pro. It's working great so far. I'm running the 4 link option so I needed a low profile servo. Happy so far.
I have only ran it a few times and it seems like a solid servo BUT man is this thing noisy! You have to constantly give the steering wheel or the buggy wheels a little bump to shut it up when it on the bench. If it was quit it would have been 5 stars
Reviewers broadly rate this low-profile brushless steel-gear servo highly, citing strong torque, good speed and a compact size suited to 1/10 scale trucks, crawlers and touring cars, including builds using 4-link setups. Several note it fits tight low-profile chassis well. Recurring concerns include heat and possible power draw at higher voltage (one reviewer reported heat and cutouts at 8.4V, reduced to 7.4V), and the need for a good BEC or receiver capacitor. One reviewer found the servo noisy on the bench and one said it is marginally slower than some alternatives at 7.4V. One reviewer reported a steering lock that turned out to be a cracked servo horn; the manufacturer's warranty service replaced the unit, which reviewers praised. Reviews are mostly short and positive, with a few specific technical caveats.
- + Strong torque
- + Fits low-profile chassis
- + Good customer service and warranty support
- + Compact and light for 1/10 scale
- − Runs hot at higher voltage
- − Needs a good BEC or capacitor
- − Noisy on the bench
- − Marginally slower than some alternatives at 7.4V
