About this part

Monster Torque Servo with Sleek Black Edition Looks

The Savox SB-2292SG Black Edition Aluminum "Monster Torque" Brushless Steel Gear Servo is part of Savox's powerful Monster series, designed around an all-aluminum case and a unique brushless motor system. Its advanced controller technology boosts power output by up to thirty-five percent compared to earlier generations, giving it a noticeable performance advantage while maintaining the clean Black Edition appearance. Intended for a variety of 1/10 and 1/8 scale vehicles, this servo offers a strong balance of capability and durability.

About the SB-2292SG Servo

Brushless Motor Performance

The SB-2292SG uses a specialized brushless motor paired with Savox's upgraded controller technology to increase power output by up to thirty-five percent over previous models. This combination helps the servo deliver consistent performance across a wide range of vehicle types. The brushless design also contributes to smooth operation and efficient power delivery. These elements work together to create a servo that responds cleanly and maintains stability during use.

Aluminum Case & Steel Gear Durability

A full aluminum case provides rigidity and helps manage heat during operation, supporting long-term reliability. The unique steel gear train adds strength and wear resistance, making the servo suitable for applications that place repeated stress on the drivetrain. This combination of materials helps maintain accuracy and smooth movement over time. With three precision ball bearings supporting the output shaft, the servo is designed for consistent, stable rotation.

High Voltage Capability

With high-voltage support and a torque rating of 624.9oz-in at 8.4V, the SB-2292SG offers strong output for a variety of 1/10 and 1/8 scale vehicles. This makes it a flexible option for builds that require dependable torque without sacrificing responsiveness. Its internal layout is optimized to handle the demands of modern RC platforms. Whether used for steering or other control functions, the servo is built to deliver steady performance across different conditions.

Awesome servo, been running it in my mb8 eco for some time now. Never once have had an issue with any savox servo, I recommend them to anyone.

It’s a bit taller than a standard servo, I had to modify the servo mounts on my XXL to clear the bell crank. This is an impressive little servo, Quick and strong. I was In The dunes last weekend and I just kept turning it lock to lock till it bottomed out on the frame. I use it In a single servo conversion run without a saver, can’t find one strong enough. I wrecked so badly that I tore the whole front clip off. It was hanging by just the toe links and this servo. It still works fine.

The power and speed is unbelievable, have never seen a servo center so quickly. Using it in my infraction v2 and will be using it in my UDR.

You don't see a whole lot about this servo for some reason. Thought I would try running it in a Vanquish VS4-10 Pro. It's an excellent servo that delivers a 555oz at 6.0v and nearly 700oz at 7.4v. Been running it at 6.0v and it's been nothing short of awesome. It steers the Pro in the rocks running Proline 1.9 BFG Krawlers with Crawler Innovation foams with ease. If you're looking for a premium servo in the 555oz+ range then you should consider this one. I've run a few Savox servos and this delivers just the rest.

Awesome servo, fast and tons of torque. It can't even be compared to the stock servo that came with my Losi 8ight

What reviewers say

Reviewers broadly praise the Savox SB-2292SG Black Edition for strong torque and fast centering, with several using it in buggies, trucks, crawlers and a single-servo conversion. Some note it is taller than a standard servo and may need mount modifications, and that it is somewhat noisy. Two reviews report failures: one 1/5 review says the servo overheated and stopped working within a year, and a 4/5 review describes torque loss and failure about ten minutes into a race after running at high voltage. Other reviewers report long service lives of two seasons or more. Reviews are generally positive but the sample is small and failure reports are mixed in with praise.

  • + Strong torque
  • + Fast centering
  • + Durable in bashing use
  • + Good value for high torque
  • − Taller than standard servos
  • − Somewhat noisy
  • − Two reports of failure or overheating
  • − Needs endpoints set correctly
