About this part

Low Profile Servo with High Voltage Performance

The Savox SV-1254MGP Hybrid "High Speed" Low Profile Digital Steel Gear Servo is designed for builds that need fast response and dependable torque in a compact footprint. Its low-profile layout makes it a strong fit for tighter chassis spaces while still offering performance comparable to standard-size servos. With a coreless motor, steel gear train, and high-voltage capability, it provides a balanced combination of speed, strength, and durability. As part of the Plus series, it also includes Soft Start and Sanwa SSR compatibility for smoother activation and improved radio responsiveness.

About the SV-1254MGP Servo

Low Profile Design

The SV-1254MGP delivers the feel and capability of a standard servo while fitting into a slimmer, low-profile case. This makes it ideal for vehicles where space is limited but consistent performance is still required. Its coreless motor supports fast transit times, giving the servo a responsive character during operation. The compact size helps reduce weight and improve layout flexibility without sacrificing output.

Steel Gear Durability & Hybrid Case Construction

A steel gear train provides the durability needed for repeated use and long-term reliability. These gears are designed to handle steady operation and resist wear over time. The hybrid case design features an aluminum middle section that helps dissipate heat, supporting stable performance during extended sessions. This combination of materials helps maintain smooth movement and structural rigidity.

Plus-Series Enhancements

As a Plus-series model, the SV-1254MGP includes Soft Start for gentle, controlled engagement when powering on, reducing stress on linkages and electronics. Sanwa SSR compatibility ensures improved communication with supported radios, offering a more responsive feel. With high-voltage capability and a torque rating of 250oz-in at 8.4V, the servo provides dependable output for a variety of applications. These features make it a versatile option for users who need reliable performance in a compact package.

Many issues. Difficult to install because the wire is placed directly where the mounts go. Way off mechanical center for servo horn to be 90°. Demonstrates brown out so I got a glitch buster capacitor to solve its ridiculous performance. I have had it in 2 models with completely different electronics. Same exact issues. Maybe I received a lemon.
