About the SW-0231MGP Servo
Waterproof Construction
The SW-0231MGP features an IP67 waterproof rating, allowing it to operate confidently in rain, snow, puddles, and other wet environments. Its sealed case design helps protect internal electronics from moisture and debris, supporting consistent performance across a wide range of outdoor conditions. This makes it a strong fit for cars, trucks, and boats that regularly encounter water or rough terrain.
Durable Metal Gears & Taller Case
A strong metal gear train provides the durability needed for repeated use and steady operation. The slightly taller case design offers additional internal space, supporting the servo's layout without affecting standard installation points. This structure helps maintain stability and smooth movement during operation. The combination of metal gears and reinforced housing makes the servo suitable for everyday RC applications where durability is important.

In a sentence: Excellent servo for a basher truck. I put this servo into a Traxxas Stampede 4x4 as the original 2056 was needed elsewhere. This servo's body is modestly larger than the standard Traxxas servos and it will not fit in my LCG Slash 4x4 as it interferes with the lower front brace. The Stampede 4x4's chassis, however, aligns the steering servo vertically and there is zero interference whatsoever. You will need to make sure your ESC an provide enough amps, however. I have an old Castle Creations Sidewinder 3 SCT setup in this truck, which has a relatively weak BEC of 5 volts at 2 amps. Even sitting on my desk, the servo drew more than that and the receiver would cut out due to lack of power. I ended up adding the the Traxxas 2260 BEC to the mix, and now my Stampede has plenty of steering oomph. For the price, very happy with this servo.
