Engineered for serious club racers, the Schumacher Vibe TC delivers pro-level performance, precision handling, and full tuning flexibility—packed into a durable, affordable 1/10 scale 4WD touring chassis that’s ready to dominate your local track.

About the Vibe TC

Affordable Pro-Level Performance

The Schumacher Vibe TC brings high-end tuning capabilities to club racers at a more accessible price. With features typically found in elite competition kits—like fully adjustable suspension geometry, Ackermann steering tuning, and diff/spool height settings—it gives racers the tools to dial in their setup for any condition.

Smart, Strong Construction

Built around a durable yet flexible S2 composite chassis and top deck, the Vibe TC offers a perfect balance of strength and tuning responsiveness. Anodized alloy shocks, reinforced drivetrain mounts, and a floating servo design provide reliability and ease of maintenance without adding unnecessary weight.

Refined Drivetrain System

A proven gear differential, lightweight front spool with replaceable outputs, and ultra-durable front and rear driveshafts deliver smooth, efficient power transfer. High-quality Bando belts, a lightweight layshaft, and fully ball-raced internals round out a reliable and race-ready drivetrain system.

Tuning Made Easy

From adjustable camber, toe, and body post positions to versatile battery placement and anti-roll bar options, the Vibe TC is designed for total setup flexibility. Twist-free shock towers, short alloy shocks with low-friction shafts, and a fixed-geometry steering assembly ensure confident handling on any surface.

Dane Bohron Schumacher Vibe TC 1/10 Electric 4WD On-Road Touring Car Kit

I recently completed building the Schumacher Vibe TC, and overall the build experience was very positive. I would describe the build difficulty as about average for a modern touring car kit, but the overall quality of the components stands out. The parts quality is excellent, and everything fit together very well during assembly. I did not encounter any issues with parts needing cleanup or modification. The included bearings also felt smooth and good quality right out of the package. The instruction manual is very well done. The diagrams are clear and easy to follow, and about 99% of the time the steps were completely straightforward. There were a few small instances where I needed to test-fit parts to ensure their orientation matched the diagrams, but nothing that slowed the build significantly. The manual also clearly specifies grease locations, diff fluids, shock oils, and other build details, which is always appreciated. One thing I would have liked to see is part numbers listed directly in the build steps. The manual relies on the parts explosion diagrams for identification, which works, but including the numbers in the step-by-step instructions would make the process even easier. During the build I did run into one minor issue with the rear gear differential. When first assembled it had some noticeable binding. After disassembling it and swapping the differential outdrives, the binding disappeared and the diff became perfectly smooth. The kit shocks went together smoothly and felt very good once assembled. I did follow the manual’s build notes during assembly, but I would recommend paying close attention to the race note regarding the preload collar O-ring. Using the full O-ring creates quite a bit of tension making it hard to adjust, and I will likely adjust mine slightly to reduce the tightness. Overall, the car went together very cleanly and feels well designed. Before even getting it on the track, the chassis gives the impression of a solid intermediate-level platform, though I think a motivated beginner could certainly build and run it successfully as well. Since this is my second touring car build, I was also able to compare it to my previous experience with the Yokomo RS platform. The overall difficulty of the build is similar, but the Vibe TC feels like it uses slightly nicer and more refined parts throughout the kit. One thing worth noting is that the included setup sheet is geared toward asphalt/tarmac. Since my local track is carpet, I reviewed the setup information ahead of time and made a few adjustments during the build to better suit carpet conditions. For example, I installed the spool/differential in the high position and increased the gear differential fluid from the kit-recommended 1K to 5K. These are simple adjustments but should make the car more suitable for carpet racing. Overall, the Vibe TC was a very enjoyable build and left a great first impression. I’m looking forward to getting it on the track and will update this review once I have some driving time with it. Note: While I did not purchase this kit from amain hobbies, I wanted to share my build experience here to help others considering the Vibe TC. — Update 03-22-26 — I was able to get the Vibe TC out for its initial shakedown, and overall the experience was very positive. The car performed well right from the start, and I immediately noticed how enjoyable it is to drive. Compared to my previous touring car, this is a significant step forward in feel—in a very good way. I am currently running the car in LMH class with a 25.5T motor, and tested it on a small but fast local carpet track with medium to medium-high grip. One of the biggest things I noticed right away was the overall consistency of the car. It feels much easier to keep in the groove, and I was able to hold my line through corners with less steering input, which made the car feel more controlled and predictable. During the session I did encounter a few minor issues, including dialing in the correct overall setup, addressing some belt skipping, and fixing a leaking differential. I am currently running 7K diff fluid, which has been working well for my track conditions. All of these issues were straightforward to resolve, and once sorted, the car felt very stable and predictable on track. One of the biggest takeaways for me was how the car behaves compared to my previous platform. The Vibe TC feels more stable, offers increased steering, and has less tendency for the rear to step out. Just as importantly, it communicates what it’s doing very clearly, which has made it easier for me to build confidence while driving. Overall, the car drove extremely well and left a strong first impression. I’m looking forward to continuing to refine the setup and improving my consistency with more track time.

Manual is easy to follow and the kit is easy to build. The components look high quality. It comes with blue thread lock, 1000 cst diff oil, 400 cst shock oil, Molybdenum grease. My kit was missing two outer ball cups and o-rings. I received two of the smaller inner cups and o-rings in the package. Thank you to A-Main and Schumacher for getting me sorted. Looking forward to getting it on track!
