Never received my product as I emailed, called and several voicemails. It’s ridiculous that no one has returned any of my calls or emails. Whomever is in charge of customer relations needs to be let go. I did signature confirmation and the package was supposedly left without a signature. If it could go completely wrong on this purchase, it happened to me. Just horrible and completely unacceptable for a company like this to treat a small person this bad. Just Horrible ! I bet this won’t get published as a review

First i wana say Amain hobbies is great and they tryed to help and it much appreciated. As for the serpent car I was quite disappointed the car was loose in the box so the body wing and radio got smashed! I noticed it was supposed to be zipped tyed down but with very weak cardboard so of course it came loose and smashed its body against the badly placed radio at hood height, rear wing was just left loose on top of the car and was crunched and the wing screws was just rolling around, one was missing, At least box up the radio separately! I contacted serpent directly they said to contact the seller, I was orginaly referred to serpent American, were I talked Doug he never sent a replacement body wing or even the missing wing screws. I gave my address and contacted multiple times with no further reply from Doug, So amain did what they could and sent me a different clear body. After all the hassel I lost interest in the car and just put the car on a shelf with the damaged body as a eyesore reminder to never buy anything from serpent again. The radio is not ever rtr quality its like radio shack quality and apertly the servos are as well... I Would recommend getting the Mugen GT car as I should of done.

I expected better Quality control from Serpent. Missing engine mount screw and missing set screws in the two speed transmission out drive. Also engine was not set properly from factory. Low idle was screwed all the way in. After engine adjustment all seems fine with motor.

What reviewers say

Reviews are mixed. Several reviewers praise the car's appearance, nitro performance, two-speed shifting and value as an RTR, and some report trouble-free running after break-in. Recurring complaints include damaged or loose parts on arrival (loose body and wing, missing or loose screws, unsecured radio), missing or underset engine mount hardware, and electronics (servos, receiver) failing early for some owners. Several reviewers also report a clutch or transmission failure during break-in and difficulty getting replacement parts or warranty support, particularly for gears, which some say must be sourced from abroad. Reviewers consistently mention that the seller's customer service was helpful, while the manufacturer's support drew criticism from several.

  • + Good nitro performance
  • + Two-speed shifting
  • + Attractive appearance
  • + Good value as an RTR
  • − Loose or damaged parts on arrival
  • − Missing or loose hardware
  • − Electronics failures
  • − Parts availability and warranty issues
