Really nice quality tool box right out of the package, fits perfectly. Snap cover seems to work well, i may try to add hinges at some point. But 10/10 will buy another one
Let me start by stating any disappointment with this purchase is my fault. I purchased it so I could store the battery in my RC4WD K-10 without taking the body off. I thought that this was aluminum but when it arrived it was 3D printed plastic - and it states that very clearly in the description - so clearly my bad. The quality is very good for a 3D print - I just think that it is over priced for plastic.
Have multiple of these tool boxes and everyone has been printed awesome. Fit and finish is great and lid stays secured.
This looks great and completes the "look" I was going for. I took off 2 stars because the top does not stay secured on it's own. It has bounced off on even small bumps and rocks and is definitely coming off anytime the truck goes wheels up (it happens). I will try to find some mini latches/hinges or might end up just putting a bungee across it.
Four verified owners rate this 3D-printed plastic crossover toolbox between 3 and 5 out of 5. Reviewers agree the fit and finish are good for a printed part and that it completes the scale look. Opinions diverge on value: one reviewer felt it was overpriced for plastic, while another called it a strong purchase. The main recurring problem is the snap-fit lid, which one reviewer said can come loose on small bumps and during wheels-up moments; that reviewer planned to add latches, hinges, or a bungee. One reviewer had expected aluminum but acknowledged the product description clearly states plastic. Lid security is reported by one other reviewer as holding well.
