This paint is the best chrome you can get. You must use the spaz stix mirror chrome clear backer to do it right. Spray ultra light coats and allow to dry between each coat. Thinner the better for durability. Don't scuff the body and make sure body is lint free. Enjoy!

Great paint but the spray nozzle and the spout it connects to from the can had a bad contact so I lost alot of paint while spraying. I would consider buying again but I never had issues with the tamiya paint or the traxxas paint

Works as it should I found that light coats work best . Takes a little longer but looks great in the end.

i recently bought some of this from local retailer because my airbrush was on the fritz and couldnt use my alclad and honestly im disappointed. more paint came out of nozzle to can contact than the nozzle tip which makes a HUGE mess. as far as mirror chrome paints goes extremely fine mist coats, backed with black ( my preference) or silver ( alternative) between spaz stix and alclad im gonna be honest i give the win to alclad lacquer. i have NEVER had an issue with the alclad lacquer ( aside from price), alclad always gives me mirror chrome realistic finishes, and my tip for alclad is multiple fine light mist coats with a little drying time in-between ( to let chrome particles settle) and sprayed at 10PSI back with black for a realistic automotive chrome bumper/mirror like appearance.

when I started using this can of chrome silver paint it worked ok for a few seconds then it started spewing paint all down the side of my hand and large drops all over the rc body that I was painting. It almost immediately crinkled where the drops hit the painted body and now my rc body is ruined. I was trying to back candy apple red with chrome silver as per instructions from Spaz Stix website.

What reviewers say

Reviews are sharply split. Several reviewers praise the mirror chrome finish and say it looks excellent, especially when applied in ultra-light or medium coats and backed with opaque gray, black or the Spaz Stix chrome clear backer. Others report the chrome flaking or chipping off the body after running off-road, even after following the prep instructions. Spray nozzle and can-connection problems causing leaks, spitting and mess are also reported, with one reviewer describing spitting that crinkled the paint. One reviewer compared it unfavourably with Alclad lacquer, another rated it above Alclad. The durability complaints come from off-road use and no reviewer addresses the flaking with a fix.

  • + Mirror chrome finish looks great
  • + Good results with light or medium coats
  • + Strong result when backed with opaque paint
  • − Chrome flakes off after off-road running
  • − Nozzle and can connection leaks or spits paint
  • − Messy spraying with drips and spatter
  • − Mixed comparison with Alclad
